sleep motifs

1 her colour scheme matches a phantom because sleep and her bows are little phantoms on her shawl and bonnet!

2 she is wearing slippers and her tights are colorful to represent the chaos that are dreams and the kinda manipulation you can pull with sleep magic, also I didn't want her too look to much like Gracie so hopefully the darker colors work.

3 she's in a night gown which is structured in a way to be very breathable and poof but mainly with air, her skirt is held up by hoop skirt to stop it from dragging and stay our the way.

4 there is moons in her gown across her chest because nighttime.

5 her bangs are in a way to look like curtains, and her hair I'd short in the back to keep a clear silhouette and also for fun.

6 her eyes were not originally green, it's from the magic and later on her sclera's will become green like Torpor.

7 Torpor is what animals do while hibernating where all the system slows down until only the bare essentials to stay alive are left, it's lethargy and close to sleep takes longer to wake from.

I made this up today

she grew up in a barely noble house fading into obscurity, that specialised in sleep magic.

when corruption hit they did nothing and acted the same, her village starved and she was none the wiser. until the people revolted.

escaping in nothing but her nightgown and a cloak, she disguised herself with heavy make up eventually modifying her cloak into a bonnet and shawl to look less like she just got out of bed.

when found out she escaped again, gaining a new odd haircut and magic to knock someone out while they held a cleaver to her, this gave her green eyes and while she didn't know how to use her magic, it hid her identity better.

the cult is called great rise of dawn (to signal the freeing of natinder)

I'm playing on the penitence game mode where you still have to eat and sleep every two days

this was right after beating shamura and one of my followers decented while I was away

to get into Lorni's voice I sing kid and leveret so that is her favorite performance in all of meadowlark especially the part of the kid, Tabitha sometimes fashions blue and pink bows to give her.

when it comes to the Lark and their performances it's one of the few times these two are outside and behaving because these are kids and they'd kill the other for souring an evening with tricks or fighting.

Tabitha likes to hide behind Lorni when she gossips too much or bites more than she can chew with ragebaiting due to it being distracting from work and unproductive she has now scattered trapdoor and a network of tunnels around the workshop, hidden with floorboards, cleverly thrown carpets, racks and murals, only Lorni can fish her out otherwise its wack a mole.

yay adversary! i am inspired by this one American themed place near where I live and they serve popcorn for free to snack while waiting for the main course, so I took that and ran with it, when I get to stubborn he will be one of the dishes from that place. I took her horns and crown from her head, put more horns and some thing to go in-between and now we have bowl! i don't wanna put just popcorn so some pork skins that I found as a snack that are kinda like chips but better and I has an idea of wrapping a small cut of sausage or meatball or maybe cheese with cooked vermicelli (thin see through noodles) and frying it because adversaries hair and her route is the only one that's tied up. now she's a literal snack- also I couldn't not add her tail too-

EYE OF THE NEEDLE yeah so I don't know anything about food or drink I just like the idea of a collab Cafe and those faces drawn in omurice… so a couple months ago I ended up searching what drinks are go with what food and all that came up were alcohol and I had to pull up another list for drinks in general, anyways we giving her one of em manly drinks so I couldn't choose between mead or beer because I don't know the difference and now it's braggot in a drinking horn. she's built like a dragon so lots of green and red and I've added lots of scars to the drinking horn. since she is in a cave and very aggressive I made the rim look like it's been chipped of and very jagged but smooth out by the bottom for convince sake to actually drink. I don't know how deep into the horn the drink is but not all those curls has space for alcohol because that's hell to clean and only the norse gods could drink that much. I wanted to reference her gorgeous bubble braid so I used the same vermicelli from adversary to put in the drink but then I realized tempura is not good in alcohol so its probably just coating a straw. the stand holding up the horn is her tail and shaped so it's dug into the table because it feels right also 3 spikes to look like crown horns in the center where it's held up.

whosh, I had too much on my own platter making this between princess week, several camping trips and having a life for once so I finished the drawing like.. a week ago since I couldn't find time to write.BUT IM HERE NOW, and no one will know what exactly any of this food is unless I explain, anything i deem weird i have bolded( and may describe the taste so if you don't want that description skip to after the underline). moo moo club style he has a fire(oh no) pot and platters of raw food around as well as some soy sauce at the back obviously, since contrarian is behind our perspective of the pot we can assume he has a bowl and chopsticks, (probably a raw egg in the bowl because my mom does that for flavour) as well as more platters for anything to be added into the pot.

above him is some chains hooked on a shrimp, fish head and liver because I couldn't fit more plates and felt there needed to be something else there, I wouldn't be surprised If contrarian just brought out hot pot in the middle of a butcher market though. the liver (they are really bumpy after being cooked and crumble into a pate in your mouth but have a strong flavour thats a bit bitter so i cant eat too much)and shrimp can go in hot pot but often fish is sliced in hot pot or steamed if you keep the head so I guess that fished is already cooked so you can enjoy weird food 2. fish eyes and brain (if you want to know they taste slimy and the eye can be chewed on like a chalky texture if you whittle it down with your teeth and the brain are my favorite parts it's like cream cheese without the cheddar taste and more light.)

on the table is 4 extra platters that can be added to the hot pot on the right is your essential slices of beef or pork that cook in seconds while you wait for everything else to cook, then some meat balls they can be beef, pork, or any animal mince and are sometimes filled, and next to that is the 3rd weird item duck tongue! which are not added to the hot pot but are starters( these in particular I like preserved in u think vinegar and with chillies kind of like pickled foods, they can be served just like that and are like chips where you can just keep eating them on loop, texture is just a perfect rubbery and barely meaty it is more similar to skins because of how thin it is) and next to that is fish balls except this is specifically the ones I made with my mom once where they are a liquid/paste until you cook em and that's why it's in a jar(i don't actually like balls but they are a staple foe hot pot and my mom likes em so it feels wrong not to add those, its made by pulling the fish of all its skin with the dull end of a knife to make mince and has a normal solid meatball consistency just tastes like fish and a little easier to chew. )

on to the pot itself, no hotpot fire does not look like the flames of a boss fight. I exaggerated them because the pot was too boring and I like drawing fire, do not ask what the broth tastes like no broth can make any of this cohesive so imagine something like the stranger cabin where it's simultaneously bone broth, tomato soup, kimchi soup and coconut water. anyways I added all the standard hot pot stuffs, baby corn, chopped romaine heart, tomatoes cut in half, fish slices, chicken wings and ham(the tin ones), other than that I don't know how weird people consider mushrooms to be but there's shitake and enoki mushrooms(despite the fact my family uses button mushrooms instead of shitake, which are kept round and not cut since they are full of water and therefore are squishy have vegetable taste but barely since I don't know how to describe mushroom flavour but these are not truffles. enoki are the long ones at the back it's like if noodles were vegetables and long with the caps at the end for a satisfying thing to chew on.

next to them are some pork bones which are I think the knuckles and taste like pork so nothing changes they just take a while to cook compared to strips. and if you were wondering what's on the noodles, it's cheese. my mom tried to recreate this brand of instant noodles from my childhood that made noodles infused with cheese which was my favorite growing up and put it in the kimchi hot pot by taking instant noodles and slapping American cheese slices on it( we made 4 more that dinner, it's a good combo). anyways there's some shrimp I mentioned earlier this time peeled so I'm guessing some poor soul peeled the shrimps beforehand to put into the hot pot, under them I think are fishballs but it's been a while since I drew this so I honestly don't know, and some blood sausages(I like them even though I know a lot of people don't, it's firmer than your average sausage with a brownie crust texture i guess and have a liver taste with little fat pockets inside the sausage that break it up well and are my favorite part)

now I regret not putting cheese filled sausages its like a necessity in hot pot. lastly at the right is some squid tentacles which go quite well in rings or mouths too, (sometimes we add baby squids, the drawing one is a normal squid they don't have much flavour but are one of my favorites because they're chewy and rubbery but not hard to chew just right and are completely smooth, other than the tentacles which suction cups are not going to stick to you its just little bumpy bits to bite into.)

anyways they are kinda antagonistic but chill together bickering, braiding and weaving. So basically imagine bear traps placed right next to each other so it's too obvious to actually get caught by either- while they can sing (and I have given them voices in real life) I think they do crafts like me more and work on chains or embroidery to sell and sing a bit while doing so.

Lorni has a motif of lace, chains and some beads while her beetle mask is made of plates and goes all the way down her head and scraggles of hair sticks out from the sides, she's inspired by sleeping gowns and royalty so she has a bit of armour.

easily angered and has no patience with insolence, she is a bit of a misanthrope but willing to drop the snark if met with honesty and tact. She keeps her word and while her views skew more extreme when it comes to fairness it also means earning more than owed when people gain favour.(I've given her a low aggressive voice that turns into a whisper on calm parts with lots of trills)

Tabitha has leather skins, stiff folded fabrics fixed with embroidered patterns and buttons, a band of metal across her eyes to make an orobanos mask. Other than that she is uneven and scruffy to the hair and teeth.

conniving yet peppy, she is a rascal by all means and is more than willing to run themselves into mud over silly bets. She lives on the nonsensical, her schemes are see-through, surface level and she is a flakey at being friendly or even forgetting rivalries.(her voice is higher, sing song and still breathy but a lot clearer)

also I gave the masks lore, more like story characters and prophesies rather than beings that shape the world like the harkers

the beetle Stagnance, a king sleeping under the mountain to awake in a time of need and bring the end of the lowest time.

The Servant(right)

how you get her is stealing her crown and rising her up, when you're both bloody and bruised she knows she is stuck for the foreseeable future cleaning feathers and rotting with you. I was trying to see what voices would work, what you could say to get them.

then since her shackle is more loose to be able to clean your knife can cut through it, she hates you specifically though so she just scowls and changes nothing.

also the last part is because she gets stronger through the chapter too shove you into the sink-

on the main path, upon realizing the power is held by both of us and we are both the princess she stabs herself and you.

if you try to reason with her, she is doing this out of principle nothing else.

“this cabin grew, what if we stay and live together? we can be peaceful.”-broken

to get her you stay with the Harbour together and rest as if the cabin wasn't there. then drown after.

in one path if you get pushed away from the waves at the cabin you get ripped apart by a whirlpool while she watches from the eye of a whirlpool.

or you swim to her against the waves, she sees you for a split moment and are both blended together as a wave shoves into you.

in the corner is if you want to feel what she feels and have the entire sea dropped on you.

Of Your Own Creation(both ch3)

in the Harbour you see her face, betrayal or pettiness you overstep and get blinded and bled out.

in the Servant you clean with her, she is getting stronger so get her to stop hating you or to give her a break. the feathers slowly don't disappear and you two suffocate in them.

There is only one option to cut her open and embrace mania, she will guide your blade with her hands if she must.
