Blue Kingdom was with him from the bridge all the way to the end of the tour. Even when asked about the Red Kingdom, they never spoke unkindly about their neighbours. The worst they said was "don't trust Sausage specifically" (which he already knew because he got cursed) and "Red Kingdom is the one that split off" (which is a factual statement, even if accusatory). Legs had a fun time messing around with Mae and 4c, enjoyed Scott and Shan's spells, and generally had a fun and interactive time. He went in almost all the buildings, even the unfinished ones! Everyone got to personally show off the places they built, and it was clear that they were all involved with each other and with building the Kingdom. The only bad things to happen were when he jumped over the railing and died of fall damage and when Freddy got him. He knew two of the people in the Kingdom, and they were all very friendly to him from the get-go (to be fair, they knew beforehand who he was and knew to be nice). Towards the end, a few of them preemptively celebrated winning which was rude and Scott should have been there to smooth it over as King, but Mae reeled it back in pretty well. It was overall a very lovely time.

And then he goes to the Red Kingdom.

Ignoring that Sausage lied to and then cursed him, they also just have... generally a bad first impression. Nobody is there to greet him at the bridge or gates (in fairness, they didn't know when he would arrive but they should have had someone waiting, right?) and he has to go looking for them. The first things they say to him are shitting on the Blue Kingdom. They make a lot of rude comments about Blue Kingdom throughout the tour, actually, and are constantly downplaying Blue's struggles and their actions against Blue (eg. "they're evil", "they need to get a grip" "their Kingdom was still very built up and we had nothing so compared to them we're more impressive"). When he walks into the throne room, everyone inside straight up ignores him until they're shushed, then the entire Kingdom has a scuffle about it. He (coincidentally) gets Freddy'd while Sausage is casting a spell, after Blue Kingdom says they think Sausage might be responsible for Freddy (i don't think Legs saw it that way, but he very easily could have). They are clearly uncoordinated and unprofessional the entire time. Their leader LEAVES THE TOUR and lets Cherri, Apo, and Sausage (who are the three most belligerent about the war and therefore most likely to speak rudely) take over for most of it. They ignored him when he said not to be formal for over half the tour. The "pretty" views are... abysmal (i love you Red Kingdom but what do you mean the back corner is a good view??? it is blocked by trees and buildings). They breeze through so many rooms because they aren't furnished, don't even go in several buildings that are, and even skip completely over their ENTIRE CASTLE. They are constantly punching each other. "We are so friendly that we let 4c stay here" and then it is a 3x3 unfurnished room where the only feature is windows. Not even an accessible door. Just windows. They prominently display the sword which killed the guy that Legs came to help. They pressure him into playing farkle, breaking his sobriety of THIRTY YEARS because it's his job not to upset them (I know farkle/gambling addiction is treating as a joke for the most part but that's FUCKED UP. if my sobriety streak was thirty years and then some strangers pressured me into breaking it... HELL NAH. I'd be gone).

He takes the initial disrespect in stride (elf things i guess but jeez they way I would have walked out at like fifteen different points) and thankfully it gets better as the tour goes on but it is not hard to see why he chose Blue (in lore) beyond their Kingdom being thrice the size and way more furnished

Like there are things Red does better. They actually introduce each of their members by name and make sure he knows who the monarch is. They have a few cute pets that he likes. He liked their song, and it was mostly wholesome. He enjoys being small and the polymorph spell. Kitty redirects awkward conversations better than Scott does.

But they picked by far the worst three people to babysit him while they got ready. Cherri tried to not speak about the history of Red, but because Legs wants to know about it, they only succeeded in being secretive and accusatory. There are so many things Red should have skipped over that they didn't and things they should have explored more that they didn't.

Both Kingdoms are openly proud, but in Blue most people are from there so they have a reason to be. For multiple buildings, their explanations show the importance of their connection to each other and their Kingdom. Red Kingdom... just doesn't really do that? They say that they focus on connection but their buildings don't reflect that because they were all designed by either Sausage or the person who lives there

In Red, the person LEADING THE TOUR is not from Red (and he knows this), but is speaking as if they're an authority on the war. When both sides are questioned about the war, Blue says that everyone around here is good but dramatic, and Red says "no it's all Blue's fault and they're actually way better off anyway so that justifies us destroying their kingdom and then pretending we didn't."

Red's comments about their Kingdom are in equal measure about building their Kingdom up and tearing Blue down, while Blue never mentions Red unless it's brought up. That alone would have made me side with Blue if I were in the Parcel elf's position

I know that the decision came down to chat because audience interaction and it's a fun roleplay series it's not that serious but if you took like half of the things either Kingdom was doing seriously Blue would win by a landslide and a half. I love Red Kingdom but they are characterised by their audacity and bluntness, neither of which are good for building an alliance

And THEN, when he breaks the news to Red that he chose Blue, they immediately accuse him of being bribed and choosing the "wealthier Kingdom". Half of them are still nice after he says that he had to choose one but is open to future negotiations, but the other half is hostile immediately. They treat the entire situation as "how dare you not give us your support. we need it more therefore we deserve it more" and that is a fair feeling to have but the blue kingdom is "better off" because 1. they worked with what they had instead of tearing it all down and rebuilding 2. they mostly farkle with each other so their gold stays within the kingdom, 3. they are constantly playing the arena for gold, and 4. Nom's farkle luck is insane. they are currently better off, but they started from the same state as Red, no matter how much Red says they had it worse. and even if they were always richer and better off, that doesn't mean that Red is better by default in all other ways, and that does not mean they deserve to win by default

(And also they even blame Graecie for Blue winning, and didn't believe him when he said he knew Cherri and her father. And Cam THREATENS him. I get being disappointed but lashing out will only damage future relations! They make it absolutely clear that some of them were only nice because they wanted something from him)
