Perry looked up from her phone just in time to see her little sister approaching. “Lilah!” She smiled widely, hugging her sister close. “Oh, I am so glad you’re here, and that you’re okay.” After a moment more, she released Lilah from the hug, stepping back just a bit to give her sister room to breathe.
“LaFontaine is busy working on some extra-curricular project that’s frankly beyond my understanding… But sh–they said to say hi, and I’m sure they’ll come visit your dorm sometime soon to give you a proper welcome.” Perry nodded, as if to affirm her statement.
“Speaking of which, let’s find your room and get you settled, shall we?” She took her sister by the arm, ready to lead her through the building before them.
“Oh I can only imagine it involves stuff that could catch on fire or some sort of lovely chemistry stuff.” She mused, looking at her sister. “As far as me being okay, that would require a definition.” She laughed, running a hand back through her own red locks of hair before sighing. Truth was things back home were not the best since her sister had left. “But let’s not talk about that. What cool things have I missed around here? I met the dean. She seems...intimidating.” Lilah laughed again, continuing through the halls until she reached her dorm room that had one half of it covered in hot pink bedding and trinkets.
“Is polly pocket my roommate or what? This won’t end well.” Lilah shook her head before flopping back onto her own bed, relaxing finally after the long drive to the college. “I missed you, Lol.”
