          None of this is worth dismissing, a distant part of Erin wants to conclude ( there must be a real, solid scientific reasoning for all of this, just like there is with the sort of paranormal activity she has expertise in ). But this is insane. She’s seen ghosts. Been touched by them, been ectoprojected on, and thrown across floors. Erin can’t take this. Not another stranger buying into her maniacal Ghost Girl reputation.

        She sighs and swallows before looking at the other. As much as she would love to pretend that all of this...supernatural nonsense is just that—nonsense—it isn’t. People are in danger and she knows it is ultimately best to warn them, however strange it may sound. 

They’d been reading a paperback edition of What To Do In Case Of The Apocalypse- a helpful recommendation from the library that only served to unsettle, when the computer monitor flickered to life. There was a moment of disbelief, LaF’s eyes meeting the woman who had appeared, the book falling from suddenly shaking hands. 

There she was- the girl that had kept LaFontaine up night after night, worrying and fearing- she was here.

     Finally. The mad scientist alone. She had been waiting for this. Perhaps they would be the one to bring everything to her. If they’re like Raggedy Ann’s memories, they would be willing to do anything for her, and with Mircalla out of the way, no one would be around to convince them otherwise. Good.  Time to do her best attempt at a June Cleaver voice      . 

        She had to shut her eyes to keep from rolling them more aggressively. Were baby vamps stupider than she remembered? Was it so impossible to ask for one little lackwit who was willing to be under complete compliance? She thought she was offering them a rather enticing deal, but no matter—she guessed she’d just have to teach her the hard way. 

(2/2) Perry obviously has issues of her own about Laf but she’s doing something a lot of people wouldn’t do, she’s trying. It may not be as great and fast as the people of tumblr want but not everyone is like the people of tumblr, who spend all their time on this website to undo the things society has done. Perry is going to make a lot of mistakes, she’s going to hurt Laf’s feelings a lot but in the end she’ll understand better and be better about the situation.

I actually agree with your take on Perry 100%. People are flawed, and change of any sort can be really hard to understand. Would it be lovely if everyone could ‘get’ things right off? Yes. Does not being able to do that make someone worthy of disdain? No.

She’s not being deliberately hurtful, she’s not unaccepting or disproving of LaFs gender, she’s just having a hard time understanding and adjusting.

        She’s been flitting about the room, dusting counters, scrubbing stains, vacuuming around anyone who might get in her way, but for once, she stops. She can’t ignore this girl’s pain, so she turns around and tries to smile warmly at her as she nods, ready to listen.
