it’s just. it’s about 2014 taylor being out in new york with the squad and then having most of the girls she considered her dearest friends turn on her or drop her. it’s about 2015 taylor being the absolute it girl of the moment and then everyone in the whole world turning on her and tweeting #taylorswiftisoverparty. it’s about 2019 taylor writing lover and really thinking that if this love is ever over then it really would just shatter her irreparably and then having that relationship end. it’s about taylor pouring her heart and her whole self into her music for decades and then having her art stolen from her and sold to someone who openly mocks and hates her. and then it’s about 2023 taylor, on the biggest tour of the decade, in new york with her friends, newly single, two rerecorded albums blazing the charts, thriving. it’s about crashing and burning and dying over and over and still walking in the sun when the dust settles. it’s about survival and rebirth and growth. etc, etc.
