Hey dear Heart Throbs,
When I was in the hospital for something completely different, a nurse suddenly heard a small heart murmur while auscultating my heart, or at least she thought so. So I was examined further. A young, cute doctor did an ultrasound on me and turned the screen where I could see everything too. She even explained a little bit about what she was seeing, and at the end she said everything was fine, turned around, and went to her desk. While I was still wiping the gel off my chest, I suddenly saw a red stethoscope hanging on the wall. Like a moth to a flame, I walked over to it, gathered all my courage, and asked her if I could try it out (as if I had never used a stethoscope before XD). She looked over her shoulder at me and said, "Do you want to hear your heartbeat yourself? ... well, if there is one." I took that as a yes and grapped it off the wall. Very carefully, I put it in my ears, layed it on my chest and heard how incredibly loud and fast my heart was beating. I turned toward her and listened for quite a while. Maybe I was hoping she would turn to me, stand up, and listen to me too, but that didn't happen. After a while, I took the stethoscope out of my ears, hung it up, and put my T-shirt back on. I believe I was kinda sad, when I said good bye.
