Longing

There were either one or multiple people who have disappointed you in the past, because they’ve shown to be uncaring and indifferent to you. People move on, but you don’t… and that hurts. So characters seemingly find you, and take you by surprise with how passionate they are, yet cold and somewhat bitter. They’re often misunderstood for this, but you want to be the one to understand them! Just like how you want someone to understand you, how you really are. Not just the person who has a certain hobby or one characteristic. So, you want someone who knows what it means to be unknown, and fight for you. You want someone to hold you, and promise to not let go. You want someone to prove it, prove they’ll be there for you thick and thin, through and through. Sometimes, even though it may seem cruel, you want your lack of presence to hurt. Maybe it’s the only way for somebody to be there.
