This is a big stretch but imagine if the bluray copy of Cars 3 came with a short about McQueen trying to propose to Sally. And the entire short is him trying, but continuously getting interrupted. And he’s trying to make it perfect and then at the end he loses it and is like “PLEASE LEAVE US ALONE IM TRYING TO ASK HER TO MARRY ME!” and everyone goes silent and then he realizes what he just said and freezes and Sally’s in shock and then obviously she says yes and 😍😍😍😍

So basically McQueen won all but 2 of the Piston Cups since his rookie year to Storms arrival. (Assuming Storm arrived in the 2016 circuit and Cruz arrived in the 2017 circuit).

Just wanted to note that in NASCAR, 7 cup wins is the record for most cup wins (in the real world. And had been tied by 3 people) so basically Lightning is actually on-par (if not better) with actual Legends of the sport. And he’s even more legendary because he’s holds the record for most amount of cup wins within 10 years.

Something I really love about Cars fandom is that you can have people commenting on a 27-second clip of Cars 3 and multiple people will point out the 1-second reaction of a minor character in the clip.

BUT NOT ONLY THAT. Cars fandom will know that that’s not just some random minor character. Heavens, no. He may not serve any major narrative purpose, his name may or may not ever be mentioned in the film itself, and his scene under discussion may be one second long, but Cars fandom knows that that minor character is not just anyone–it’s Tim Treadless.
