Fall, Please Never Leaf.

Took these self portraits not long before I injured my foot. Have been stuck in bed the past two weeks, and have been really bummed about stuff but I will appreciate everything so much more when I can finally walk and be productive again. Perks? Catching up on lots of sleep and binge-watching Netflix guilt-free! Junk Food Princess. Some of you might follow along the daily food photos I post on my @whati8b4i8it Instagram account and if you do, you know how much of a foodie I am! Found these adorable sprinkle donut and cheeseburger costumes at TJ Maxx over the summer and already knew I had to get them for Halloween! (Yes I have had a burger and a donut in the last 24 hrs!) Sunday Scaries. Back in 2012, I tried to dress up as Nina from Black Swan for Halloween, but Hurricane Sandy ruined it and then I was out of commission for a month and a half with a broken foot. I decided to wear my costume for my birthday instead and had a movie character-themed party! This year, I wanted to bring back that idea but put a new spin on the black swan concept (and keep utilizing this fallen tree for eerie Halloween photo shoots)! The rib cage, delicate lace and Halloween colors give a grunge vibe to the ballet look as a skeletal swan girl. Paranormally Pinstriped. Lightning struck down this enormous branch from our big backyard tree (which was sad to see but making the best of it via this halloween photo op)! (featuring all Brandy Melville apparel) lipstick: MAC "Hautecore"

Ying Yang Pumpkin Play.

Every year, my best friend Jill and I have a fall tradition of fueling up on Starbucks, picking pumpkins, decorating them in a new way each year, stopping in the orchard shops for apple cider donuts and other fall goodies, having a pumpkin patch photo shoot, and then editing pics while we watch double double toil and trouble over Thai or Indian food!

This year, we switched up (and stepped up) our game and got brunch and then found a NEW spot to pick pumpkins with an even better autumn aesthetic! It was a holiday, so the one we usually go to was swamped… so we went on an adventure and got lucky!

In the past, we’ve carved pumpkins and painted them all different ways. We got Cinderella pumpkins (a blank slate!) this year and skipped the mess by using Sharpie markers!

She’s the Yang to my Ying and we have so many little inside jokes from over the years, so the ☯️ was the perfect theme!

Apple Picking. Spent the afternoon with my mama on this beautiful afternoon! I may have gotten rotten fallen apples all over my shoes (#oops!), but we had the best time walking around Battleview orchard, laughing and taking lots of pictures. Fun fact: we bought one apple.

Rook Coffee & Broad St. Dough Co. The most autumn-y donuts and coffee around and then I had a fun photoshoot with a donut tubee. Today was a good day!
