If you're meant to be, you don't send divorce papers to your partner and run off. You don't have secret babies of them and only tell them because they randomly called. You stay, you fight for your relationship, you work together as a unit. Izzie left him. She had his babies and didn't even bother telling him, which goes to show she only wanted to be a mother, not be his wife or even his girlfriend.

And Alex loves Jo so damn much, he fought for her (quite literally, if you recall, he beat Deluca cause he thought he had a thing with Jo), he took care of her, he asked her to marry him TWICE, and wanted a future with her. And now he pulls a fucking Izzie on her? After her immense trauma? And it's not as if Jo couldn't have kids or anything, they didn't even try yet. He did the same to Jo as Izzie did to him!!! Meaning the past decade has taught him nothing and he hadn't changed one bit.

We’re just supposed to accept that Alex Karev - the same Alex Karev who was so in love with Jo and stood by her through everything and literally JUST said marry me again, and who had previously been left and served divorce papers through a letter - would go back to this same woman and leave everything else behind?

I can accept him wanting to be part of his kids’ lives, that makes sense, but making out like he’s been pining for Izzie all these years is just...no. And it’s not like their relationship was ever really healthy anyway, but now what they’re basically saying is that they’re so toxic and all-consuming that he was literally willing to drop and abandon everything else in his life and we’re supposed to accept that’s a happy ending????
