#intro/ general idea for those confused
My new life series au “Doubt” is Impulse centered. The idea is Impulse when asking Bdubs in past life “who gave you the clock?” decides he wants to grab the clock from Bdubs. What this does is freezes time and rewinds Impulse back to Seconds before Bdubs betrays him and shoots him with an arrow in 3rd life. This causes Impulse to want to change his fate and with time frozen he switches it so he dodges and then kills Bdubs. Yada Yada Impulse wins 3rd life. Thats the big change. Now that Impulse is clockless he’s stuck. Everything that happened in the og timeline is remembered by Impulse, but to everyone else it’s happening for the first time. With a completely different outcome because Impulse changed the start. The idea is last life-Nice life happens differently. Impulse has to figure a way to be someone who won rather the version of himself he hates. The follower. I haven’t written any scenes yet but I have some fun things for each life series mapped out and wanted to share. Last life’s change is going to be Impulse showing up for the AHA scene and them already being all closed off becoming a British player team. This causes Impulse to find Tango and join as a duo with the idea of you bet your life. They become casino duo and well build a casino. With no Tango in BEST the team of 3 becomes the good guys. To Impulse he has no idea what coming and only remembers what he saw. So a little fun detail Impulse keeps thinking about is what can he do to make sure Tango doesn’t get to the point of Bdubs betrayal to him. Remember Impulse is being mean to Bdubs in the 2nd of two life Series. Not going to give placement details obviously. I can at least give a couple of the pairing ideas I had and Why. Not going to give too much of double life v2 yet. I’ll tell you Impulse and Bdubs aren’t attached. Grian and BigB are the first pairing. Remember Impulse is the main focus, so it’s like Impulse Realizing things really went wrong as he notices changing the cactus fight resulted in secret soulmates happening with Grian and Scar. The attachment comes, just later on. My second pairing is made to confuse Impulse. 3rd life’s change came before the cactus Fight, but AFTER flower husbands. 3rd life before that moment is canon. Both Jimmy and Scott did before that point. What fate did is make their feelings stronger because Scarian never happened. Fight, but AFTER flower husbands. 3rd life before that moment is canon. Also yes Doubt comes from not only Impulses transition between follower to leader but the amazing song from Twenty One Pilots.
