there is something biblical about watching 'Little Forest' while eating a comfort meal that you made from scratch.

Watching little forest (winter - spring) and every time i rewatch it I look at my hands and wonder why I am not doing enough with them (instead of mostly holding my phone) why i am not touching nature with my hands, i know rest is important but this body, our bodies were meant to move and move a lot, our hands were meant to make things and create things and connect with nature. I love how it is also not in a romanticizing way. Because it is tiring. to work to plant to cook to live and to do all other things that require physical power but it is so worth it, you feel full of life. I wish to use my hands more to do things even as mundane as peeling a tangerine.

You should be able to listen to a full album without looking at your phone. You should be able to watch a 3 hour film from beginning to end without checking social media. If you can't do this, you need to start training your attention span as if it were a physical muscle. I don't experience boredom or restlessness because I've trained my brain to not be dependent on quick stimuli and dopamine hits. If you can't chill on a park bench while waiting for a friend with just your imagination to keep you company, you need to learn how to do it ASAP because one day we may not have access to the internet.

I respect the moon's unwillingness to be photographed on a phone

Sometimes you really gotta decide for yourself it's the last time the universe gonna teach you that same lesson
