My Life At The Front Desk

Ok so. I work at a really cheap motel in the literal WORST area of town. Across the street from the cheap motel that is the meeting point for all the worst people. I have a LOT of interesting stories but this will be about the dreaded “poop rooms”.

It began about a month or two after I was hired. One of our smoking rooms wouldn’t check out, and we had to forcibly evict the guy. Turns out he had shit on EVERYTHING. The bed, the counters, the sink, the floor, the bathtub, smeared it on the mirror and the walls, but the toilet was untouched. We dubbed it the poop room.

MANY months later, we had another incident similar. Not as bad, but it was poop room 2. After my one year anniversary hit, we got another that was as bad as the first. It was a 2 bed room so there was shit on both beds. Used diapers shoved under both beds while open.

But poop room #4? It made our maintenance man cry. He’s been here 21 years and it made him cry. The mattress was somehow SATURATED with human shit. There was liquid shits everywhere. How someone had so much shit stored in their body is an enigma to me. The stench was enough to choke anyone who went near the room and it took us about 10 days to get the room back up to rentable status.
