There was no mass rising, the government wasn’t defeated. They were rounded up, one of them was killed, and the country turned a blind eye. So you’ll forgive me if I don’t have great confidence in my countrymen’s ability to resist tyranny.

Their occupation of the building, and subsequent prosecution, was in 2016. That standoff was in 2014. The state won out, and the number of people who actually did what lots of 2A people talk about was under 30.
