Everytime I see Michael Emerson he's the most suspicious guilty motherfucker I love it

I love how Michael Emerson is the most basic white Midwestern Dad looking man on Satan's green and sinful Earth, and yet he plays the most fucked up dudes any writer can imagine. Even his non-villainous characters are fucked up. "I benevolently spy on the entirety of New York. For their own good. In a totally normal way." "I want to bring more power to the people of this post-apocalyptic wasteland and so I'm going to make the cheerful protagonist cut off my head and carry it around for a while." And then, y'know, the villain roles being Extremely Creepy and Villainous. All this while looking like a dude who's kinda hoping for a new grill accessory set for Christmas but has resigned himself to getting socks again.
