This year I'm gonna start GMing my first ever full campaign. Sadly, tieflings on the continent of Tian Xia are typically of the riftmarked variety who look more like froglobstermen than succubi. But I'll give my players a helpful "hungerseed" NPC companion / GMPC they can seek out. This is Bohai. Bohai will loredump on the party and eat crits like they're cereal. When/if the players stop engaging with the plot, he can help ground them diegetically. He's also there to step up if a player can't make it and cancels last minute.

Bohai has wanderlust in his heart, perhaps due to the fact that he stands out so much in his hometown. His parents are the typical star-crossed lovers: of disparate peoples, they fled the disapproval of their families and the tyranny of the oni in their homeland of Chu Ye and settled down in a small village to raise a family.

Last time on Blood Lords, ya girl failed like six or seven consecutive saving throws against ghoul fever. Luckily Uruni can pull off the look without issue. Her waist has never been this snatched.

Infernis can pay 2 stress to roll with hope instead of fear.

Orderborne has 3 principles and every time these principles apply to a given situation, your hope die is d20 instead of d12.

And nightwalker rogue can spend 3 hope to get +2 AC, teleport from shadow to shadow for free and adds sneak attack dice to dmg rolls, meaning they get 2 dmg dice before anyone else.
