❛❛ HAPPY HOLIDAYS !! ❜❜ Practically jumping into the bed with her beloved witch, Ashley herself nuzzled into the woman as joy radiated from her features. ❛❛ I might have gotten you a little something— ❜❜ she was rarely excited when giving gifts but, she felt like she had found the perfect thing. Placing a red wrapped box against the covers, she was almost vibrating with anticipation. ❛❛ But promise me you’ll tell me if you don’t like it! ❜❜ Inside of the box was a leather journal. Plain on the cover without any detail, it was inside where she was proud – rules and clear pages filled the book, held together by a silver binder in case mistakes were made. There were page tabs she had aged to certain aesthetics and inside the cover was a small engraving. ‘To the woman who keeps my heart warm.’
There’s a moment where the witch groans in protest, an attempt to hide beneath her pile of blankets half-heartedly attempted, but the blonde was good at digging her out from her nest with just being there. How dare she be so adorable. There was simply no resisting that glowing smile. “ You ‘might,’ hm? “ Cassandra flashed a sleepy grin, rubbing at her eyes as she sat up, and eyed the box. One hand pulled the blankets back so she could turn to face her starlight, the other carefully picking up the parcel.
She was slow in unwrapping it, careful to not tear the paper too much ( Absolutely because she was appreciating the gift, not because she was still waking up. Never in a million years, nuh uh. ) But once she saw the journal, the care she gave the paper was tossed to the wind and Cassie pulled the tome up, opening to a random page and taking in all the little details Ashley had given it. “ Aw, babe, this is amazing! “ The witch smiled up to her before a hunch struck her and she looked at the front page of the journal, her smile growing at sight of the message then set her gift down on the nightstand to pull the blonde over, gathering her in her arms and rolled on top of the blonde.
“ I love it! It’s amazing and I love it almost as much as I love you. “ She grinned, peppering her with kisses across her cheeks before brushing her lips over Ashley’s. // @sweaterquccn
