Jimin has three secrets, and the first is that he’s a bit of a psycho.

Not those endearing moving villain kinds either, not the kind that you  sympathize with through some miracle of creative storytelling. The kind whose fractious mind and unkindness are easily excusable because they’re funny, or because they solve problems more often than they cause them.  Just abnormal enough to be a novelty, like a cat that can walk on its hind legs.

But that’s not Jimin- not by a long shot.

Maybe the first indication that there was something off about him was how he first interacted with other children, that is to say- he didn’t interact with others beyond Taehyung. 

Jimin found Taehyung and that was it, he didn’t need another friend. Taehyung was his person, his favorite thing in the entire universe so why in the world would he ever need anyone else? Fuck every star and every galaxy, Taehyung was enough. Forever and always.

His parents and Tae’s called it cute- but it’s wasn’t just any ordinary friendship.

It was an obsession.

Now…. I love how close Koo and the m/c have gotten. She really wanted to protect him and make sure he’s okay — even though it stemmed from her trauma, I thought it really showed how much she cared for him (and for the pack).

Also, I quite literally love how she spent hours doing research on the dom/sub dynamics (some non-sexual dominance sounds like a dream). It just feels nice knowing that she can have that control back in her life that was taken away. I think that Seokjinnie, Joonie, Yoon are so perfect for that (especially Yoon because he was already doing such an amazing job as a partner and mate,,, I may have teared-up when she realized their post-sex ritual was aftercare. I just love how gentle and lovely he is with her).

One last thing,,, it was so nice how Seokjinnie stopped her from wearing Hobi’s collar. Like, I smiled so hard because knowing Hobi’s background, it just was nice to see Seokjinnie stand up for him (or protect his boundaries?). Ahhh I just can’t wait to see how this plays out.

the m/c is really fond with koo~ i think because he’s like- the first person that the m/c is being physically intimate with besides jin- in a very non-sexual way. hormones and omega nesting hormones are one hell of a drug and~ ‘oh my god they where nest mates’~

yoongi is like- the gentlest little dom like- the softest little mate in existance. im glad that other people enjoy it as much as i do- i really love writing yoongi as a little squishy lump of a love you know?

yes! jin panicing a little and being like “oh shit hobi woudln’t like that-” was very much an instinct to protect hobi- and not so much like- even the m/c knowing about it. if the m/c wants her own collar, jin can get that for her- she doesn’t need to wear hobis and theres no reason for anyones toes to get stepped on. (i also think maybe that jin thinks hobi cares a little bit more about the state of his collar than he actually does and it’s actually jin who puts the value into it- because all of his babies deserve an individual and perfectly tailored to them love and the collars are a symbol of that)

Part 14: Like A Sigh 

Seokjin doesn’t know what he was expecting from your room or your nest but it’s offaly pretty. 

This- this is the den-like atmosphere he wants and didn’t find in the other bedroom. the dark flower-patterned wallpaper and the teal accent walls make the room feel cozy and small. Safe even. The sole lamp makes the room drenched in cozy golden shadows. Blackout curtains too that must let you and Yoongi sleep as long as possible cover the windows.

Your curtains might be drawn but the windows are open, the sweet air of summer fills the room, clean evening wars equal with the smell of chocolate cake- the smell of you and Yoongi that permeates the room.

How many nights have you curled up together here to have it smelling so happy? Neither you nor Yoongi has a particularly strong scent but it’s everywhere. it’s so unlike jin’s alphas, or even Jungkook who you can almost taste when you breathe deep near him.

Jin doesn’t realize he’s just standing there, breathing, enjoying the way that your smell eases the ache in his nose until you’re blinking up at him from the confines of your nest cuddled under the thick layer of pillows and blankets, one of them falls on the floor at your sudden movement and you whine. staring at it forlornly. before Seokjin can answer and dart forward to give you anything your heart desires like his instincts demand- Yoongi stoops to pick it up. you make grabby hands at it and then hug it back to your chest, your unhappy chirp becomes a velvet-like purr.

Yoongi’s eyebrows’ are raised expectantly, and Jin realizes he’s been staring. just watching the two of you get ready for bed, domestic and intimate. something that maybe he’s not allowed to see

but maybe he is, after all, he lives here now. 

 “I just- I was going to-“ jin’s breath catches in his throat.

The train breathes behind you, adjusting to its spot on the tracks, a few minutes of refueling before it pulls away. Hoseok has minutes if not seconds to convince you not to get on it. 

“Why speak to me now? You’re not a coward so why are you running away now?” Hoseok will say anything to keep you talking, the longer you’re here on the tracks the greater the probability he stops you from going altogether. 

Lower lip quivering, smelling like a rainstorm. No hint of your sweetness. You look like Hoseok had looked, that day by the coffee shop that Yoongi had offered him a place in his home and unknowingly a place in his heart. He can’t offer the same to you right now- not without it feeling inauthentic.

Your leaving will hurt the others. That’s the only future that Hoseok is trying to avoid. But he’s also curious, Today is the most he’s ever heard you speak and it feels like a switch has been flipped. You’re talking, arguing even which is a massive change.  He repeats his question, anything to keep you here for just a few more minutes. “Why are you suddenly talking? After weeks of muteness, why now?”

He can only see half of your face in the light of the train, you look gaunt, like you’re about to melt into the shadows and become one, nothing more than a Specter and a ghost in their lives. Part 2: The Don

Maybe this is the better time to tell you how Yoongi found you- and why he left in the first place. Like with most good tragedies, this story starts with a death and a secret.

While betas are valued mostly for their level heads- they’re also more valued as secret keepers. Yoongi is probably the best secret keeper in the whole state- maybe the whole country even. Most of the time- he keeps his family’s secret so well that he doesn’t even let himself think about them.

Yes, his blood family. Not his found family. I get that it’s confusing, but ‘blood family’ couldn’t be more accurate when it came to talking about the people that Yoongi was actually related to. They’re the ones that painted Yoongi’s hands with blood like they were painting the mona lisa, when he was barely old enough to drive a car, let alone learn how to be a murderer and get away with it. You’re one of us now- no escaping it. Down to the marrow in your bones Min Yoongi- You are one of us.

Being a beta born into a mafia family is both a blessing and a curse. On one hand- Yoongi was expected to have little hand in most of the violence. Tradition said that the betas shouldn’t sully their hands with blood and gunpowder on the daily, doing the dirty work only when the situation called for it. A special touch- a unique ruthlessness. 

On the worst days, Yoongi is judge, jury, and executioner.

the entire beginning of this chapter reminds me of that saying ‘blood is thicker than water’ and how the mafia families say yoongi will forever be one of them but the actual proverb is 'blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb’ and so in conclusion yoongi will forever be one of his pack. he chose them. he loves them. and he will always want them. yeah it made me think a lot. also the hate for geumjae is strong. progressively increasing as i read more.

yoongi here has so much influence(i see the downsides too tho). this is the first story i’ve read where betas are given such power and it really makes me happy :D but yoongi still doesn’t abuse that power yoongi is such a beatiful soul. he is too soft for this life. and he is so good at hiding his relations to the mafia. I did not expect for him to be working with them the entire time in the previous chapters.

also BYULYI. I was really excited when i saw moonbyul mentioned. she gives me alpha vibes for sure. I really think she’ll play a bigger part here. maybe she’ll be the next don. yoongi seems to think good of her.

i was wrong about the inheritance thing. it did seem to simple. i wonder why the don has to be alpha even tho betas make the best leaders…. but on the other hand i love how male and females here seem to have a fair chance.

now the mc is geumjae’s wife didn’t expect that. but her sent is petrichor!!! literally my favourite smell ever. and their combined scents a typhoon wow. i felt a shiver.

Yoongi being a master of manipulation is so hot. it works so well with his place as secret keeper. he managed to hide so much from his pack its impressive. it also works well with his position as mafia therapist ig 😂

handyman yoongi is also such a cute image. fixing things in the house, the domestic love its all too cute to handle.

the late don and his beta spark a lot of questions in me. did they not have a pack? did the beta only stay with the grandfather? no switching between packs? did that influence yoongi a lot? did they die so close to each other because of mating bites?

the way you talk about scents is one of my favourite parts of this story. its always so dreamy and paints such beautiful pictures. it makes me long for something i never had. i smile whenever i read those parts.

already fell in love with mc she’s sweet and beautiful. she’s hurt too but she’s strong we know she’ll make it.

random but that mention of nutmeg and pumpkin- i remember watching an episode of this show called elementary where they use a solution of nutmeg for dissolving bodies and blood. it was a good episode.

as i read the chapter i became more and more curious of how they escape. it seems so hard. of course the cliche techniques are running through my mind but i know its not that simple. this is what i want to find out most.
