imagine u have a list of traitors ready in ur head and the second name on ur list is ur fiancée. and worse yet, u know his ass wanted to say her name first 😭.
#also I love how Armando was able to pick up on Marcela's misogyny even tho he kinda was misogynistic too in other ways#because that man knew betty did nothing wrong and marcela just hates her for being a woman
@supercool-here
there's other examples of his own misogyny when it comes to how he treats his affairs with women but the most interesting one is how he treats betty when the panama fabric deal discussion happens.
it's very much a precursor to the plan. armando is frantic for materials and mario's solution is a seller in panama but betty is warning armando every step of the way and he chooses not to listen to her. every single time she's tries to explain the danger or offer alternatives, mario interrupts them and armando doesn't let her finish. when she insists that at the very least the materials need to be nationalized, he later says 'betty they're gonna get nationalized just like you wanted'---as a weak attempt to say 'look, i listened to one thing now stop whining'. And then later, when he and mario are alone, mario's like 'betty's not on board' and armando says 'well it's not her problem'.
the woman he's depended on for everything up until that moment and its at the most crucial moment that he pushes her out in favor of mario. just like he chooses to believe mario that betty will betray him even tho betty has shown her loyalty time and time again.
we know later that the panama deal will become her problem bc he makes it so by having her embargo him. had he just listened to betty about the dangers of mario's suggestion and trusted her, they wouldn't have lost all that money.
While I'm not denying thay Armando has sexist conducts (im not blind lmao) i don't think this is an example of it. Armando disregards EVERYONE who goes against what he wants and/or wants to bring a more down to earth perspective. When Daniel says his plan is suicide? Boom, immediately demonized. When Mario says that to bring the quality of the fabrics down will be an automatic failure? Ignored, yelled at, disregarded. When Betty advises against the Panama deal? Exactly the same treatment.
Armando was delusionally positive in a lot of his decisions. He had blind and egotistical faith in his own power of decision. Anyone who dared to suggest that his decisions are actually counter productive was immediately shut down.
Betty was Armando's biggest ally, immediately followed by Calderón. Yet, Armando straight up ignores and condemns Mario when he suggested not to alter the collection's quality. He begs for at the very least keep the buttons good. Th buttons. Just that. And Armando fully refuses it. He denies it to Mario, his best friend, vixe president, and ally in his schemes.
Compared to how Armando treats everyone else's objections to his ideas, him at least partially listening to Betty is not an example of misogyny against her. On the contrary, it shows that Armando holds her opinion and imput above literally everyone elses (except his own ego, of course)!

Just look at this beauty! I am so excited and happy to see so many familiar faces that I HAD to sahre!

What do y'all think? I'm thrilled to see so much of the original cast back! But I also feel a little sad to see so many absent. It feels so nostalgic, even though I literally only started watching this novela around 3 years ago. Feels like when you go to a highschool reunion and get to catch up with all those people who until now were only a memory.
To say I'm excited is definitely an understamation!
Armando and Camila are close but Betty looks like she’s on the sidelines ☹️
Why do they look worried?!! Something is definitely gonna happen during the party 😬
So did they only have one kid? I was expecting them to have at least 3😳 maybe I read to many fics where they have a huge family 😂

I don’t ‘develop’ headcanons. They come to me in visions and I know they’re correct.
imagine ur mireya and u quit ur job right as ur boss is getting promoted to president of the company bc ur borderline sickly in love with him and he never looked twice at you. like ur gone and he doesn't even remember what you looked like. then the following year u find out his wedding to his severely jealous and mean fiancée got cancelled and he's not even president anymore. u hear the company you worked for is in economic shambles. then said company gets a new president and it's a woman you've never heard of. but there's rumblings that the new president was ur hot boss's assistant\former secretary. then months later ur at the corner store buying milk and u see the latest HOLA magazine at the checkout stand and in the corner is a pic of ur former boss with the new president of ecomoda who used to be his assistant and secretary, walking out of a catholic church. all bc u quit. and u dont even know that she used to be ugly.
Just a friendly reminder that Daniel is a lying sneaky bitch.
During the attempted sabotage of Betty's computer, he explicitly says he gives his word to Olarte about giving him a better position if he doesn't mention him or Patricia to Armando once Armando finds out about th sabotage. Immediately after, when Armando tells to the whole board what happened, he says that he fired Olarte, and Daniel says "that's good, but there's still a chance for suing him."
Not only that, but this man saved Patricia's ass from being also fired exactly to use this later on himself to manipulate and coerce her into sex...
This man is soooo wrong in the head and I just wanted to remind y'all of that lol

Sandra HAS A GIRLFRIEND!!! I’m screaming!! They were holding hands and Sandra had her arm around her! I don’t even know what to think other than that it seems kinda random, we’ll at least to me ???
I wonder if the girlfriend is part of the cuartel 👀 since she kinda looks like Patricia people are mentioning that Sandra definitely had a thing for her🤣
Is this fr??? Fully confirmed?? Oww i really wanted to see her with a short man. would have been adorable, especially because she spent the whole ysblf trying to find a 2 meter tall man! Seeing her break from that and realize that there's more to people than their height!
Idk if it’s fully confirmed but they’re hinting at it!
Since she always mentioned of wanting a tall man I honestly was expecting her to end up with a short man 🤣

Y’all are so creative! I can’t stop laughing 🤣🤣
Thinking about this post of @el-moscorrofio-y-el-mercachifle
I love all the literary references in the novela. I've caught a few (I should make a post about it in the future lol) but I admit I'm not cu
I've noticed how often Armando and Betty use the word "pedazos" as a reference to their metaphorical deaths.
Betty writes in her diary "la que escribé este diario hoy es un comprendio de varios pedazos de lo que fue una mujer", when Armando killed her.
Armando begs Betty to do the balance with such words "usted me quiere ver destrozado, me quiere ver vuelto pedazos?". And yes, she wanted to kill him in her illusions.
After the junta meeting Armando says "apenas estoy recogiendo mis pedazos", he is dead metaphorically.
When Armando reads Betty's diary he says "lo que encuentro aquí son las cenizas de una mujer, los pedazos de un buen ser humano". He realizes that he killed her.
Omg I had never thought about it! They also talk about Ecomoda that way. Multiple timedthey mention that Ecomoda "está echa pedazos" And Daniel even suggested to sell it and pick up "los pedazos" that remain.
I love it!!!
