honestly, the biggest proof you need that armando always had feeling for betty, even from the very beginning, is Mariana's cards. Because just when they have that shared dream, and its the night he plans on dating her, her cards say that he DOES want something with you.
and its p evident in that when he dreams of her he's as happy as she is in it like I always say its shared bc like if he really did not want anything with her wouldn't he have been terrorized at being all lovey dovey with betty IN the dream. like it would have been his nightmare and her fantasy but it wasn't. it was mutual
and now these cards. wouldn't if he really didn't have feelings for her it would have made more sense for the cards to have been like well he's resistant rn he's hesitant and the cards change so to reveal that emotional change as he starts developing feelings for her. nope the cards always read that their relationship was bound to happen
Gotta love those scenes wayyy before the actual plan and Armando falling in love, when you can tell he gets carried away with Betty: smiling, coming too unnecessarily close to her; touching her chin or shoulders, and overall having this kinda playful demeanor for a moment... Until Betty does something that reminds him she's "ugly" (like laughing with her characteristic laugh or saying something "nerdy") or someone interrupts them and it's like he comes back to his regular more detached self, sometimes even going as far as rolling his eyes or something like that, as if overcompensating.
It's hilarious when you rewatch these scenes because they're SO obvioussss no wonder Calderon was teasing Armando since the beginning!
