time to celebrate
starter for @lgcmilan
sena stands in the kitchen looking at her... creation. is it cake that didn't rise, or is it a brownie that came out a little spongey? sena's not entirely sure, despite being the one to have baked it. she has frosted the top with pink frosting, writing "happy birthday milan" on it with white frosting as carefully as she could with her little cake decorating skills. sure, she could have just ordered a cake to be delivered, but sena wanted to try making one herself this year.
she woke up bright and early on the morning of milan's birthday, having decorated the room with balloons and streamers she bought and secretly stored at the company building. she isn't sure if she woke milan up or not yet while decorating overnight, but nevertheless, she hopes it makes up for the... baked good sena has created.
the girl adds the small cake-brownie thing to a tray along with a bowl of egg fried rice (which is one of the few things the girl knows how to cook well enough) and some fruit, wanting to make sure milan gets a full breakfast along with her cake? brownie? she's still not sure. she finally carries it to the girls' shared bedroom, singing happy birthday as she carefully pushes the door open with her hip. "happy birthday unnie!" she smiles as she carefully places the tray on milan's bed. "i thought breakfast in bed might be a good way to start your morning."
before debuting, milan never much seen the attraction to her bed (or sleeping in general). it's only after knowing the exhaustion coming from a tight schedule or several hours of practice (or both) that she came to understand that a bed was more than a simple everyday object. while she still isn't the type to be able to stay in her bed all day, it had definitely shoot up to make its place in her top 8 favourite spots.
there's hardly any feeling that can compare to that of slowly waking up on your own, tightly tucked under your covers, knowing that you do not have to rush out of bed for an early schedule. she'd need to get to work at some point during the day, but not right away. so she keeps her eyes closed, enjoying the warm embrace of her magnificent bed, and a smile of absolute contentment on her lips.
she hasn't forgotten her birthday and is aware that she likely has a couple of messages waiting for her, including her boyfriend's. the thought of him draws a frown on her otherwise peaceful face. she knows he's not responsible for his schedule, nor is she mad at him, yet not being able to see him before the following week leaves a bitter taste in her mouth.
"happy birthday unnie!" sena's voice and the enticing smell of food make her open her eyes. pushing herself up on her bed, mermaid style, her mouth drop at the sight of the tray. "oh my god! wow! wait! this is my first breakfast in bed!" she exclaims and squeals.
busy boyfriend? forgotten. kakaotalk messages pending? who cares, phone's still on silence!
she scoots and pats the spot next to her. "thank you! wow! come here, let's eat together! also..." she opens her arms wide for the girl to come get a hug, grinning.
