"You've always been the more optimistic among us," she remarks fondly, nose scrunching before she raises her cup of tea back to her lips. "I shall not rest until I have achieved my goals, that much is certain. I won't shun my eyes from any additional skills I pick up along the way but I still find no interest in the art of composing or performing as an idol. I could see myself dabble into creative direction but more so as a director than a composer," heejin muses along, colouring out potential fields she could see herself dabbling into that wasn't the cookie clean cutter acting path she was aspiring towards.

heejin would not consider herself a person others often referred to as "gamer". she had very little to enjoy with electronic games, the furthest of her adventures being stardew valley or cookie run. alas with nintendo sponsoring the halloween party this year around, heejin had to decide upon the tiniest evil of them all. which- in her humble opinion was animal crossing.

after a rather humiliating visit to the infirmary following her unfortunate over ambition, she finds herself looking at her phone to read the messages she had received while busy with practice. a message from her mother, a few friends and him. she finds herself smiling despite the dull age remaining in her skull, ready to begin her set of replies as the presence of a trainee rushing towards her has the freshly debuted actress jump back in surprise. “for me? thank you...?” unsure who the girl was or what she was intending with her birthday greeting, heejin once more looks at her phone after the female bounces off again.

"In the context of the game it is society forcing it upon him. He tried to free a woman from the grasps of a drunk politician. In retaliation the politician stumbled and accused the teen of assault, thus leaving him on probation. He was to transfer schools for his year on probation and move to tokyo but things take an interesting turn when he finds himself in an alternate reality where people's distorted desires have taken shape and he frees himself and his powers by tearing off the metaphorical mask, turning him into a phantom thief, stealing the people's treasure to return their desires to its original form and have them reflect on their actions," she narrates, all while still captivated by the painting.

"I always found it such a fascinating game concept. A friend allowed me to follow them playing through the game because the story spoke to me. I wish I was brave enough at times to oppose society in such a brash manner." She does appreciate his insight though, leaving her to silently wonder if he was no longer speaking of the painting but himself. A part of her wants to reach out, just to feel the same closeness they shared that night but the occasion and the fear of repercussions keep her rooted to the spot instead.

Heejin finds her perspective visibly shifting. Where once she'd perceived Minkyu as a mischievous troublemaker, ready to trigger reactions out of people by his boisterous nature, she now saw a kind young man, respectful and with great manners and a good heart. She picks a tissue with careful fingers, muttering quiet words of gratitude under her breath.

After cleaning the tears of her face and blowing her nose in an admittedly not very lady like manner, she balls the used, damp tissue up in her palm, intend on throwing it away once she had strength back in her legs to get up. She picks at one of the unused corners, knowing she should probably say something but she's still so taken aback that she doesn't trust herself to not mutter complete nonsense or reveal how impacted she was left by his gestures.

with her things gathered and spirits light, she falls into step beside sarang, content to let the silence linger between them for a moment. or also content to let sarang fill it-

the prospect of being offered a free meal was pleasant to her ears, never one to turn down a treat more so out of respect for the other person rather than gratitude for not being able to afford her own food. "I wasn't aware the campus cafe had a pre-order option," she mutters under her breath, fascinated by this new piece of technology presented to her.

this was it. her first official role as an actress. when she'd finally received a contract offer from lgc agency, heejin was beyond thrilled and ready to plunge herself into the world of all sorts of different characters waiting to be explored and acted out.

she'd felt fortunate and blessed to immediately receive a chance to test her might as she finds herself in the ensemble for a theatrical play with a theme she found most intriguing. while it hadn't been the first thing she expected to debut with, she certainly wasn't complaining. the standards were high, ensemble roles requiring great coordination and memory as they would often find themselves on stage for many sets and heejin couldn't afford to be the odd one out. not for her debut, not ever.

at last. heejin was beyond enthralled to finally call herself a rookie actress. she was certain this was the beginning of a thriving career that she'd work hard to foster and nurture so it could flourish. having the immediate opportunity not only to join an ensemble but also be roped into a production featuring the models under agency, she found herself in the presence of a senior whom she felt secure in trusting to provide favourable results for their task.

the initial comparison to a mother of all things has heejin jerk back a little, nose scrunching involuntarily as the image of being perceived as maternal leaves her all sorts of bothered. she'd never understood the milf movement or being perceived as a "mommy". however she was not here to yuck someone else's yum and instead focused on listening to chaekyung's reasoning behind her consistent need for movement.
