'The Blood' in my Bloodymary fic 'Leftover Light' that I tried to scientifically explain because I thought Grace would definitely try to figure the freaky mutating blood out.
An Archive of Our Own, a project of the Organization for Transformative Works
At first glance (through a miscroscope)
Explanation below:

I JUST WANTED TO DO A SILLY PARKOUR NOT EXPERIENCE THE HORRORS
On sweat-dripping cedar
Do you know it's good for me too? ♨
(og version on patreon! 🥕 )
I adore the elves of Tolkien, because you read The Hobbit and you think oh, they're a little weird and fey-like. Then you read The Lord of the Rings and you're like they're very alien, but Thranduil just seems to be Like That™. Galadriel, Celeborn and Elrond are pretty chill actually. Yeah Glorfindel is like the strongest fighter ever and Cirdan's a little off-putting but they're most likely outliers. Legolas forgets he is surrounded by non-elves half the time and trolls the rest of the time, but otherwise he is not weirder than Aragorn.
And then you get to the Silmarillion. And you encounter the Noldor.
Fëanor "spirit so strong his body cremated itself" and Maedhros "got amputated for reasons™ being suspended on one of the highest moutains and probably tortured by Evil Incarnate but got over it in a week". Fingolfin "calling Morgoth to a 1v1 seem like a reasonable solution" and Fingon "climbed Melkor's highest mountain right after having survived the most hostile, icy, treacherous cliffs in existence while singing, to rescue his estranged situationship". Finrod "teeth count as a plausible weapon against a werewolf" Felagund and Galadriel "just in it for the possible crown and this very pretty Sindar I just met".
And that's not even touching Elwë "will marry a goddess at the first opportunity" Singollo or Luthien "sang so well the notoriously inflexible keeper of souls & Judge of the Valar let her and her man have another chance at life". Or whatever Ëarendil was on.
Reading about the elves of Tolkien when your first encounter with them is the Third Age brings the slow realisation that they are not wise and good and all-knowing. The most batshit crazy ones are just already in Mandos or Valinor (except Glorfindel, he cannot be Contained). They are actually the most chaotic people in the lengendarium and are trying very hard to leave behing a dignified image, and it's the funniest thing ever.

Finding out Sam actually does ship Wick and Teor is so validating to me. Crying tears of joy watching the charity stream vod.
Escape from nargothrond
Luthien and Huan
watercolor on cotton paper Baohong, 49*31 cm
I honestly cannot wait for everyone to reunite and then for the tables to split again and for Wick and Tyranny to be separated due to some circumstance. I desperately need them to be apart from each other for a longer extended period of time than just a few hours.
This could also be fueled with the fact that I am part of the minority that absolutely does NOT ship them at all, but I really just want them to lose that HEAVY codependency they have for one another.
“i asked chatGPT” well I asked Fëanor and he said ‘Why, O people of the Noldor, why should we longer serve the jealous Valar, who cannot keep us nor even their own realm secure from their Enemy? And though he be now their foe, are not they and he of one kin? Vengeance calls me hence, but even were it otherwise I would not dwell longer in the same land with the kin of my father’s slayer and of the thief of my treasure. Yet I am not the only valiant in this valiant people. And have ye not all lost your King? And what else have ye not lost, cooped here in a narrow land between the mountains and the sea?
‘Here once was light, that the Valar begrudged to Middle-earth, but now dark levels all. Shall we mourn here deedless for ever, a shadow-folk, mist-haunting, dropping vain tears in the thankless sea? Or shall we return to our home? In Cuiviénen sweet ran the waters under unclouded stars, and wide lands lay about, where a free people might walk. There they lie still and await us who in our folly forsook them. Come away! Let the cowards keep this city!’

hiii i’d like to request an ilmarë! i love her and eonwë :3
Her design would be something similar to this. Very glowing, very bright. I still have problems making the difference between Valar and Maiar big enough 🤔 I'd be curious how much I would have to scale up Varda's design to make it work compared to her handmaiden.
I love Sauron who is confident in his ways of acting and thinking. I love Sauron as a villain who was never fascinated or tempted by the light, whether it was the jewels containing Iluvatar’s light or the most beautiful Elven maiden. I love Sauron who never felt the need to "balance" himself with "good". I love Sauron who was drawn to Melkor’s darkness from the dawn of Arda, who chose to serve and worship it, and who was happy doing so. I love Sauron who willingly chose to name himself "Morgoth Returned", cementing all his previous beliefs and doubling down on them.
I love Sauron who was so arrogant and so cruel that the only way he was willing to let other beings exist was if they acknowledged his "inherent, god-like superiority". I love Sauron who believed he was healing Middle-earth with fire and blood. I love Sauron who never wanted to form sincere bonds with those he deemed lesser than himself, and whose only language with them was either deception or death.
I love Sauron as corrupt and cruel to the core, devoted to that image and always finding ways to prove it to his enemies, whether by feeding prisoners to werewolves, tormenting a widower with visions of his wife, performing human sacrifices, or even just stealing ONLY black horses. I love how he comes so close to being a stereotypical, almost cartoonish villain, and yet remains so interesting and complex.
I love him so much 🖤🖤🖤
