In the actual show, Jax treated as a man or at the most a gender-nonconforming man from beginning to end. If your argument for his "obvious" transness relies on interpretations, stereotypes, and social media posts, then maybe it isn't actually obvious.

Most people who watched taxc aren't combing through every Bluesky reply or Tumblr ask Gooseworx has ever made. They're just... watching the show. And plenty of people don't consider offhand social media posts to be canon, especially when Gooseworx has openly said herself that she lied many times before and that a lot of her Tumblr responses were just "fluff."

The bedroom scene with Ribbit is the canon “confirmation” of Jax’s gender I think.

1. Being constantly criticized for “being a man” Jax “snaps” and says something “deep and personal” to her mother to make her stop doing that.

2. Her mother laughs at it and berates her and Jax freaks out.

3. Ribbit puts on the bow and says “your secrets safe with me”, causing the blush and then the freak out about the bow when Kaufmo knocks.
