I think this is a very important moment, all her life, Mikasa the most of the time had being lead by others. To choose for the sake of others (and Eren) and every action that she was taking was because she need to protect someone else (or her family) but Armin's words, even if they are painfull, they are true. From now, Mikasa has to think by herself, analise the circunstances and listen her desires. God knows how I love my baby Mikasa but this is the first step to her character development after the scarf moment.

But at the same time, you have to understand the lost that she is feeling because every social and familiar estructure that she had is now gone. And everything she has being doing can't be done anymore.

As much as I love Armin, I know, I know that Erwin is obviously the best choice for that kind of scenario. There is no question about it. But it hurts me seeing him express regret over something he had no control over, something that others decided for him. It also breaks my heart to see Mikasa's reaction to him saying that because she is, after all, one of the people who were dead set on bringing him back. Ofc I don't want anyone screaming at Mikasa (it ticks me off too BIG TIME) but right now he must be frustrated as fuck and I can't blame him. He was obviously trying to stay calm up to this point but it's all too much.

So I’m not sure if anyone else has mentioned or noticed this, but I found this really interesting. Levi’s and Hanji’s injuries are exact inversions of each other.

Hanji’s left eye is injured, but everything else is fine.

Literally everything but Levi’s left eye is bandaged. (and in the same shape as her eye patch, no less)

I honestly feel like this symbolically represents the fact that Levi and Hanji complete each other. And I don’t even necessarily mean in a romantic sense.

They complement each other – which we have seen countless times in the past. Not that Hanji is not strong, or that Levi is not smart, but I think we all know what each of them is known for and what they excel at.
