hey guys, i’ve never made a habit out of asking for help, but things are starting to get a bit rough here. between having to bail my housemate out of stealing my rent money on the current place, and needing to pay my first month’s rent on the new place i’m moving to on the 20th i don’t have any money for food, let alone my power bill. things are a bit dire. my pay is going straight into my rent for the new place, and i’ll be getting paid on the 18th but i won’t have anything else for another two weeks. if there is anything that anyone might have to help me out with, i’m alone in this city and i don’t have anybody to help me out. i would usually offer commissions, but i’ve been working my butt off trying to get extra hours and i’m mid preparation for my next school term, so i don’t have the time to devote to commissions. if anybody has anything that they can spare, i’d really appreciate it - my paypal is here. excuse the legal name, sorry.

lizzie olsen’s white ass saying that she “fought” to wear a costume/headdress based on wanda’s romani background and literally referring to it as a “gypsy thing” is why exactly yall need to stop supporting white people when they steal roles from romani actors. gadje don’t treat us like an actual people, with our own language and history and traditions. they rarely ever touch on the violence and oppression we experience ESPECIALLY IN EUROPE. we’re a costume to gadje. we’re something cutesy and quirky that they can slip on for halloween or for their shitty marvel shows and then take off because at the end of the day they’re gadje, always white ones at that. meanwhile in europe, actual romani don’t receive aid from local governments during pandemics and are subject to brutal violence from police.

sometimes i think about how aklla was always so used to being alone even when she wasn’t alone that she doesn’t recognize the feeling as being lonely. like growing up always being with kronk and yzma and yet there was that feeling of being alone in a crowded room. and it’s the same with her friendships but only because she pushes them away, only lets them get so close because she doesn’t know how exactly to not be alone.
