HI!!! It's been a while since my last update.
I think I'm losing my motivation and interest. But I can work with that. Do not worry.
My laptop broke down. That means I won't be able to code for the game. Which means that the game may not happen :(
But that's ok. It still can though. But it will take time because I don't know if my laptop will be fixed or if I have to buy a new one.
Because of that, I also thought of this. There's a way to make interactive media like visual novel games or games in general, that I can do without my laptop. You guys have an option to make while I still work on the script/story.
I'm pretty sure (hopefully) some of ya’ll have watched or heard of “A Date with Markiplier”
If y'all don't know. It's a “choose your own adventure” type of vid where your path is based on what you choose. Like a visual novel game!
Now. There's cons and pros
- Has a unique gameplay (Not really.) and offers a lot of features in game. since the coding and stuff.
- what I mean features like cutscenses gallery, save your progress. Load your save.and more!
- Diverse Endings. Endings that can be only achieved by certain choices. (I already planned it out)
- Might not be accessible to people who use android. (and others.) BUT WILL TRY MY BEST TO FIND A WAY…
- The fandom might be dead before it finishes.
Choose your own adventure vid:
- It is accessible to everyone!
- I can work on it right after I finish my script/story.
- Have liminal choices of the gameplay. (I might erase some of the original endings because of the liminal options.) Example: VNG: There's hidden choices to unlock potential endings. CYOA: No hidden choices for secret or potential endings.
- Probably my storage would explode because of the videos I export and video editing.
(I honestly prefer the visual novel game.)
