Lets talk about why this isnt comparable

I doubt anyone will see this but let me explain why this is shit.

Vaccine Cards

A. Mainstream stores didnt require a vaccine ID card for you to buy things. To go inside the store you needed a mask. A mask that you could pull away from your face to take a few deep breaths if you wanted.

B. If you didnt want to wear a mask then you could have a staff member get your items for you and bring them to your car.

C. The only people who had to use vaccine cards were people in healthcare, people who frequently travel out of the country, and to get into events, clubs, bars. Even then there is still bars, clubs, and events that didnt require it.

Voters ID

A. Voter IDs are not the problem the problem is that it has to match your birth records. So if you change your name, they could use it to prevent people from voting.

B. Who is potentially effected? Women who change their names when they marry, legal immigrants, and trans people. Hell, your brother Jerry who changed his name from Seymour because he hated it. I want to expand on the immigrant part. Immigrants often have to change their names for multiple reasons. Some do it as a kid so that they dont get bullied and so they dont have to deal with racism in the classroom or people not being able to pronounce their foreign name. Some do it because if its obvious what their background is then they may be less likely to get hired, approved for loans, to get scholarships, and other opportunities.

You're part of the jury for a murder case. The person murdered was killed in such a specific way but made to look like a suicide. Now theres not much evidence on it and the public is disagreeing on if the man did it or not.

Then they show the jury images of a journal from 10 years before the murder. Its a few pages on how he wants to kill this person and how he plans to get away with it. Now these notes have the same exact details, plots, and actions as the current murder other than the fact the person he planned to murder ten years ago wasnt the person who died in this case.

On a post where i was talking about more covert forms of racism that can come across as positive but is still racism. I was referring to how the officer who shot Renee Good was being defended from being racist over the pure fact he has a non white wife. I wanted to use racial fetishisation as an example as to why it didnt prove he wasnt racist.
