Oh, NYU Local, your articles make me miss my time as a Violet.

As the article says, NYU isn't really the type of school where people sit around and drink in dorms. True, that happened sometimes, but usually it was just for pregraming purposes before going out. My first night of Welcome Week freshman year, my roommate Liz and I chalked her driver's license to buy beer from a deli down the block from our dorm, and then snuck into a bar later that night.

My fake ID wasn't a Maryland ID made by some guy by Serendipity. Oh, no. It was much classier than that. Mine was a Connecticut ID made by some guy in a secret room in the back of a used cell phone and jewelry store in the Garment District. It worked maybe 70% of the time, and I probably used it every weekend from when I got it at 18 until the day before I turned 21.
