Sometimes people try to claim that “aspec” is a wide-spread term in the autistic community and it’s offensive to use for ace/aro people. It’s not. We use Autism Spectrum or ASD.

“Aspec is for autistics” is mostly pushed by aphobes weaponizing autistic people and wants to draw unsuspecing newcomers on their side to spread their rhetoric. Don’t buy into it.

asexuals have nothing to worry about. theyre trying to make themselves the victims because they want attention and to be special and they hate gay people because we’ve been in the spotlight for so long (even if we’ve been murdered and shit lmao, but at least we’re not invisible, right?) even if they dont realize it. they fuckin hate us probably as much as straight people do.

painting gay people as oppressors is absolutely wrong. heteros have thought of us as sex-crazed freaks who prey on poor innocent heteros and they still do believe this (note the widespread “predatory lesbian” and “gay man coming on to a straight man” tropes). except now asexuals are apparently the victims of the evil degenerate gays.

gay people are not oppressing asexuals because we are “allosexual”. gay people have been oppressed for so long for their attraction, regardless if it is sexual or romantic. the fact that aces think we are oppressing them is a huge joke. grow up.

yall think us holding hands or kissing is aphobic. yall think us trying to be normal is aphobic. believing that expressing our same-gender love and attraction is somehow aphobic is absolutely wild. our visibility is aphobic because its our fault nobody knows what asexuality is (and not like. lack of an organized united community). yall think being gay isnt good enough/queer enough. THATS HOMOPHOBIA FOLKS. making gay people feel bad for their attraction/forcing them to hide their love just because it makes you feel a lil weird is HOMOPHOBIC.
