I can't remember the last time a TV show felt so like family, like community, like that is my place and those are my people and much as A league of their own did. It's so beautiful and thoughtful and immersive and a thousand different words I can't think of right now because I can only say PERFECT and I'm not even talking about the romance which I could talk about for hours. How can I go back to shows with no lesbian rep, no sense of community, limited or no diversity where there's one character with 3 lines and maybe the authors hint at them being LGBTQ+ after the show ended? There's no going back now that I know that there's shows like aloto out there and I'm so glad for it.

Taken as written, it results in English-speaking clones of Xena and Gabrielle running around with only-slightly-crooked memories of their ancient Greek lives and without social security numbers.
