catras “she’ll always be adora to me” (rather than “she-ra”) from the novel is such a concise indirect rebuttal to adoras internal struggle that she only is worth something to the people in her life because shes she-ra and shes been gifted with the supernatural power to protect them. catra has always loved her before that. its like it means nothing to catra that adoras she-ra. yes im still thinking about that snippet from that novel F my life… in my head im having a s5 conversation where adora kind of breaks in front of catra talking about their past and shes like if i couldnt even protect you then what would i even be worth to you??? and catras like “… everything” :(
