not a request, but i'm considering starting an icon blog, and was wondering where you and other icon makers (??) get your blank pngs of characters from? like i get that you sometimes make your own, but are there any common sources of transparent pngs?

i cant say for sure about others, but for me i ONLY ever use official art thats already transparent, or make my own transparents from official art! various wikis for different series are most often what i get images from (transparent or not)! if its something im really into, i may find the images from other sources (like official merch sites as an example) or take my own screenshots of canon material.

did a big clean up/fix of a platinum transparent that was on bulbapedia since it was the smoothest version i could find of this pic. then did some color adjustments, and made a version with blue hair n eyes to make it more like dawn!
