On Tokyo: “It’s a dream right now, but I never look so far ahead, there’s still a lot of time. For now I think it’s possible and I’ll work to get there, but it will depend on whether I’ll be in shape.”

On Worlds this year: “I came back (from surgery on a tendon? IIRC) well enough to end up preparing, but then things sort of went downhill again and Casella and I decided not to risk anything. It wasn’t a goal but just an opportunity to get back to competing. It’s not a qualifier for anything, so it’s not a huge issue to slow down. I wanna be ready for important competitions, closer to Tokyo, and I’ll only go if I’m sure I can contend for a medal.”

Also says that she’s now working only on BB and FX and would try to qualify as a specialist to Tokyo, because VT & UB had become painful on her shoulder, and her coming back came from watching the young girls she coaches, and would like to continue on that path once retired
