His lore is fascinating. He additionally hoards others' attention,and I'm thinking actually sew together his own wings before he learned to shapeshift, to attract that attention.

His animal is a peacock for that reason. When he wants people to pay attention to him, he'll fluff up his wings like a peacock's tail.

He also is an expert seamstress which he learned before being so good at manipulating matter himself.

And as a shapeshifter, the concept of gender is really kinda lost on him. (He typically goes by he/him, but only to gain attention and respect from others)

I'm thinking in terms of my world he's responsible for ALL technological development, including the big tech companies like apple and Samsung and also Gen AI. Yes I didn't think I'd be touching on that topic, but he's a god from the more modern day times so I don't think it was avoidable. Especially given his dedication to toxic productivity and his algorithm-like perceptions of the world.

He doesn't really have an animal form though. I'm thinking he's so computer/machine like, as that's been his whole life: development of humanity into what they are today, that he's sort of lost touch with "natural" or "un-manipulated" things, like "instinct" and emotions and "animalistic" experiences etc.

Oh and yes, if you can read my silly little notes, yes he is an APPLE user... Which has lore implications!!

In short, I play on the "apple of knowledge" thing from the Bible a lot and that is one thing. He loves apples as he loves new knowledge and new ideas. He literally can't seem to get enough of it. And I'm thinking he is responsible for apple NAMING their company that.

He's an idiot, but only because he's ignorant, not stupid per se. He just never bothered to hunker down like his buddies from Greece that studied for literal centuries.

He's all about your inner strength and standing up for yourself, and individuality and praising it and what makes you unique. So, once he moves on from driving Empires, he eventually learns that yeah, violence is just destroying things that you could be enjoying. So he pulls a 180 on his approach to things.

However, as nice as he tries to be, Guilt hates him. HATES him.

Guilt is the opposite to Pride in almost EVERY aspect of his personality. Pride, with his new approach, sees tries to show Guilt why the world is great, but Guilt only knows the world through this things he wants to FIX. The mistakes and the flaws.

And their interactions are HILARIOUS.

Pride's animal is a lion, for obvious reasons. Specifically a male lion, cause he's all show, but doesn't really do much. Kinda how it's the lionesses that do the hunting and stuff. He's got of course an iconic lion emblem on his shield, and I'd like to think he was the inspiration for so many nations using a lion for their own emblems.

But his powers revolve around metal working, and being warrior, he is THE go to weaponsmith. He's basically a combo of Achilles, Narcissus, and Hephaestus, but if they were all rolled into some Roman guy.

If you're wondering what his "Achilles heel" is, I've got you covered. He's got TERRIBLE knees. Something happens to him and he loses a lot of his conquering strength. As a result is harder for him to stand, and "tower over" others. If you swipe at his knees in combat, he's going DOWN.

And of course, he's also the resident "pretty boy". But a nice pretty boy, not a mean one.

NOW I found out that the Romans were the ones to redesign the Greek god Themis, to give her the sword and blindfold, which fits really well cause she does exist and really finds her footing for her purpose around this time, and region of the world.

Like I said, she runs the Athens library alongside Compassion for a while, before... Well... We hit a snag and the plot advances, lol.

For my version, she's got a twist to her, but I won't indulge in that now. For my version I also based her off of Athena, SPECIFICALLY with a similar personality to the way she was presented In Epic the musical by Jorge Rivera-Herrans. That musical is actually the ORIGINAL inspiration, and a HUGE contribution to my ability to make this universe and I'm so thankful for it.

But anyway, Compassion and Justice are talking with the big philosophical minds to try and puzzle out ethics and a new way to bring order to the world that doesn't revolve around violence. So the owl as her animal form was really cool to me. And really is the only one that I liked for her.

You'll also notice that with Compassion she's not blindfolded. That's an important detail, as her wearing the blindfold was by her choice. As her ideas and knowledge grows, so does her drive for her purpose and it begins to blind her to other things.

Anyway, that's all for now. I've got the first two chapters of the story written, plus some of the backstory, and A LOT of notes now about how the arc and the scenes will progress. They might need some editing though because I was reworking some of the big important lore pieces.

I was originally only going to make the one story arc, but a little while ago, within the span of a week, I made 3 more...

I'm VERY excited about this project and I'll keep posting about it. Once I'm happy with the story, I'd love to post it somewhere. But that's for another day to figure out.
