Jerrie takes her hand and with the other, points to the back door. “Just outside over there.” With small and tentative steps of her own, she leads the way. “Nobody sees a flower - really - it is so small it takes time - we haven’t time - and to see takes time, like to have a friend takes time.”

      𝘋𝘌𝘚𝘗𝘐𝘛𝘌  𝘈𝘕𝘠   caffeine  ,  nessarose  would  prefer  to  drink  cold  coffee  this  late  .  if  it  was  too  warm  ,  it  may  soothe  her  to  sleep  before  it  can  even  wake  her  up  –  and  ,  at  this  point  ,  it  wouldn’t  take  much  to  convince  her  body  to  fall  asleep  .      ❛  that  sounds  equally  as  good  ,  ❜  she  says  with  a  small  laugh  ,  honestly  willing  to  accept  anything  at  this  point  (  though  ,  perhaps  that  was  also  because  she  wanted  an  excuse  to  take  a  longer  break  )  .  ❛  you  know  what  ?  i’m  just  going  to  grab  the  entire  bottle  .  ❜

shelly stifles a yawn;   this won’t do her any good   —   yawning will not make her notes any easier to read, or their shared textbook all the more interesting.   she presses her lips together to hold back its twin, as she rummages through her dorm and collects her snack.   her roommate’s not in;   shelly wonders if the other girl is somewhere on campus, also cramming in as much studying as possible.   or maybe she just as a livelier social life than shelly does.   

               “ Good.  I  don’t  know  if  I  could  actually  sit  here  and  listen  to  someone  ramble  about  their  problems. ”     he  raises  a  hand  and  gestures  for  the  bartender  to  bring  them  drinks  before  attention  revolves  back  to  her.     “  Aiden. ”      he  holds  his  hand  out  to  her,  smirking  as  he  did.    “  Hope  you  like  whiskey  on  the  rocks.   You  seem  like  you  need  it  even  if  you  don’t  want  to  admit  it. ”

The woman before her reeked of necromancy and anger, a lost soul seeking revenge. It was curious to say the least. Agatha was intrigued, which could be a good or bad thing depending on her mood at the moment.

“Well aren’t you an interesting little bird?” She comments more than asks, eyes twinkling.

this place is burdened;   there is a looming shadow of pain over head, although people bustle & continue their daily lives.   shelly receives a few glances from bystanders, quizzical expressions pondering the woman with the pale face and the bird.   be careful   —   there is more than what meets the eye, her feathery companion warns.   she nods to the corvid overhead, before a voice captures her attention.   shelly wonders if this woman is the reason behind the bird’s caution.
