“I don’t think anything weird is going on at all,” Percy said. He did try and keep his head down when he was a strange kid on a public bus alone. He tried. He blinked as the bus stop exploded behind him. “Maybe that was a tiny bit weird.”

Jamie jumps at the explosion, eyes widening before narrowing at Percy. “Only just a bit weird then, yeah?” The brunette implores, lips quirking up in a smirk. “We’ll have to agree to disagree.” She settles on it, because good lord this kid seemed like stubborn trouble, reminding her a bit of Flora. Perhaps that’s what fuels her next question to the kid that had just blown up a bus stop.
