Its walls are cracked, its roof is shattered, and the freezing wind enters through every hole left by the war.

A father wraps his arms around his children, trying to give them warmth he does not have,

while a mother looks at them with eyes filled with hunger, fear, and helplessness.

The children have not eaten proper food for days.

Their faces are pale, their bodies weak, and their coughing never stops.

Malnutrition is slowly consuming their small bodies,

and medicine has become a distant dream in a city devastated by war and overwhelmed hospitals.

At night, the destroyed house becomes more cruel than the bombing itself.

Rain falls through the broken roof,

the children shiver from the cold,

and the mother trembles with fear that one of them may not wake up in the morning.

There are not enough blankets.

No milk.

No medicine.

Not even a door that can be closed to provide a sense of safety.

Only patience that is slowly fading with every cold night.

This family is not asking for the impossible.

They are not asking for comfort or luxury.

They are only asking to survive.

For their children to eat,

to receive treatment when they are sick,

and to sleep without fear or freezing.
