It’s been about a week since I was last on here and I’ve been lifting and boosting so here’s a nifty guide on what I’ve learned boosts well and what doesn’t.
1) The app I boost on is Depop, which I’ve found is better than Mercari because it links to your PayPal, not bank. Depop takes 10% of what you sell similar to Mercari but I’ve found that Depop also doesn’t take out more and it doesn’t cost money to list on Depop.
2) When boosting, take pictures with BRIGHT backgrounds, in sunlight usually and DETAIL what you’re selling.
I made $100 in the last week from lifting and boosting Copic Markers. They sell like crazy if you sell them for $4.50 a pop and if you bundle them (I sold 10 for $50) then you’re getting a damn good deal (especially because I didn’t buy any of them)
Anime Pop Culture is selling fast, this means BNHA, Yur! On Ice, Vo!tron, etc. Vołtron is a big one because it’s an online series, so merchandise is somewhat rare to come across if it’s not from a convention. HT sells some shirts and pins and patches. If you bundle that stuff, you’re golden.
*NSYNC, Britney Spears, Rugrats, etc tend to boost well on Depop because people are looking for that “Vintage” look. Since it’s big in stores like UO now too, you can be sure to make a pretty penny.
This one is obvious but everyone is looking for a Kanken. Specifically, The Kanken Mini. It’s around $70 in stores so if you boost for around $50/$55 then you’re set.
I’ve found that handbags don’t tend to boost well, because on Depop nobody is really looking for them, on Poshmark there’s too many people selling the same bag, and on Mercari there’s too many bootlegs so you’d have to give an arm and a leg to prove it’s real.
The TF Peach Collection isn’t boosting like it used to. What’s in now is the TF Gingerbread Palette, the TF Christmas collection and limited edition collections. If it’s sold out online but not in stores, you can boost it real well. A lifting buddy of mine snagged some of the gingerbread matte lipsticks last year and now that they’re back in season they’re selling like crazy.
🌟Look for ISO’s on Mercari and Depop. Serious ISO’s, not a 12 year old putting out a “swap?” for band merch. Those ISO’s aren’t usually likely to be serious. But if someone is looking for something specific, or you can bundle what they’re looking for (I.E: ISO for Copic Markers and SPN merchandise), then you’re good to go.
