This is a post from an anonymous imageboard called ļolçöw. This is the information that a single person was able to gather on just ONE person from our community (along w the vague location of another).

Despite what you might believe, THIS INFORMATION WAS NOT GATHERED BY MEANS OF HACKING OR ANY MEANS THAT WERE OUT OF THE CONTROL OF THE PERSON THEY ARE TARGETTING.

What we are doing is ILLEGAL. It is AGAINST THE LAW and whatever we put on public blogs can be sought and used by any person for any reason. Even if that reason is tracking down your real life identity.

I have chosen to censor the urls of the people who this post was targetting, but it is ultimately UP TO YOU to make sure you aren't doxxed in this situation. Whether or not you think shòpĺifting/fŕiendly fŕaud is a moral issue, it is against the law and there are people who will use the information you CHOOSE to put on your public blogs and use them against you.

I'm not even going to go into the fact that one of the people namedropped here in the post very stupidly posted a selfie on their account and how dangerous that is for them, because that is on THEM, and it ultimately only affects them.

I'm not active in this community anymore but I do still lurk and I do still look out for people who may be in danger of getting doxxed. but just be aware that it is ultimately in your hands to exhibit web safety.

If you don't want this to happen to you, I'd suggest following these tips that I don't see mentioned a lot

REMOVE METADATA from all photos you post. This is a no brainer but a LOT of people don't follow this no matter how much it's posted.

Don't post the names of stores you ĺift from that are extremely specific to the area you live in/near.

Don't overshare on your blog. I know we can feel very comfortable in this community, but there are rats everywhere. Nobody NEEDS to know your personal living situation, when your moving, where to, where you've lived in the past, etc.

Magnet detectors:

Most likely to be at the entrance/exit of the store or near/in the fitting rooms. Basically just look out for black or otherwise seemingly random/useless boxes mounted near those areas.

Booster Bag detectors:

Usually used in conjunction with the regular alarm towers, and these usually will be next to or beside them.

Please keep in mind hidden security measures might be present, so check for these on the ceiling as well as the floor and doorframe. Detectors might also be disguised with fabric etc. so keep an eye open for anything that’s out of place or seems unnecessary, assume everything has a purpose!

BEWARE

ok, so I’ve been looking for a new bag anyway, so I figured I’d write down what traits I was sorting by

- big, but not too big. if you are bigger you can use a bigger bag without it being as sus because it looks smaller next to you

- crossbody. very important, it makes it easer to drop things in the bad without looking or moving to much. also means you are carrying it at you waist which makes it look smaller

-ideally a Mary Poppin thing that is bigger then it is. a good way to achieve this is for it to be wider than average at the base and taper up at bit at the top in a triangle shape. but you are just going to have to test out some bags to find one

- classy, leather is a good choice, if you are college aged in a college town or are clearly a minor what looks classy will be different. a 15 year old having a designer bag has the opposite effect from an adult, because rather then assume you have money people assume you are buying fakes, stealing shit, or spoiled rotten. college kids in a college town also don’t carry around nice handbags because they are dying inside, and so you get the same effect. for teens I would recommend something in a traditional purse style, but in a lower quality fabric (fake leather or “genuine leather” which is the lowest quality leather), for college kids I would go for like a messenger bag, laptop bag, or even a backpack if your within walking distance of campus.

pockets like this are basically magic disappearing pockets, and I have seen them in action. it’s hard to tell what is the lining and what is a bulging pocket, so, if you conceal, even if someone is looking directedly into your purse they are going to have a hard time noticing it’s filled vs empty. 

- not brightly colored or a novelty bag. something that doesn’t draw the eye to it. this might be different depending on where you are and how you dress. don’t carry a pastel bag with a black outfit, don’t bring a designer bag into hot topiic.

I used my Selma purse and I also like to use this one my MK Tote looking bag. Nice and big, I like taking everything out of it.. But it ends up looking very sus because it’s looks super empty walking in and nice n full walking out… So I took a box (luckily I found a box very close to the same size at the bottom on my purse) and stuck it at the bottom of my bag. It makes it look a bit fuller and holds a bit more of its shape. I would recommend wrapping ur box in some sort of soft material… When dropping something ur purse it makes a somewhat noticeable noise, the soft material will help wit that… Even after a lift I still think to myself … “Damn I need a bigger bag lol 😕😳😂”
