business owners call dnas "friendly fraud." if you google it you'll see how stores try to prevent dnas through softwares that crosscheck your name, billing/shipping address, age of email address, etc. check through reddit for ecommerce owners dealing with chargebacks.

here's a list of protective measures:

1. IDENTITY: use a burner phone number and a dedicated dna email for online shopping accounts. make sure your fake name lines up across these different pieces of "digital id".

2. ONLINE PROTECTION: always block cookies/trackers, i use ublock origin. always use a vpn and a proxy. riseup.net is a good free vpn, i like tor as my browser.

3. PAYMENTS: never use your personal payment method, over time it can get flagged. too many refunds will look sus on paypal, and it could plausibly damage your credit score. use a virtual credit card (ex. koho [canada], privacy [usa], revolut [uk]).

if you are someone that has done multiple dnas, it is VERY LIKELY that your email/ip is implicated in a fraud prevention software database. multiple companies use the same softwares, this is why your orders get cancelled sometimes. change your id often!

dnas may be easy but remember it is fraud which is a crime! act accordingly!

for grocery store:

reusable shopping bags are your best friend. try and dress the part. athletic wear is everything! put your reusable shopping bags in your cart and fill them up with your groceries as if you were just a normal shopper. it helps if you listen to music. remember, the most important part is believing that you are just like everyone else. there is nothing off or suspicious, you are just doing your normal shopping. of course you are keeping your guard up and staying sensitive to your surroundings but if you believe you belong there, it will show in your demeanor and behavior.

when it’s time to check out, walk your cart to the front. you may want to go through an empty register line, or even stop at the bathroom to get a drink of water. remember, you belong here and are doing completely normal things. then, if possible, exit out the door you did not come through. this is just in case the greeter becomes suspicious because you were in and out quickly (unlikely, but it just makes me feel more comfortable). at this point, i am listening to music and i have my wallet in my hand like i just paid for something. i am looking at my phone or in my wallet, messing with receipts. i am not looking at the greeter. when i look occupied, it makes me feel like they would have less confidence to stop me. you keep walking, headphones on. you don’t even have to be listening to music, just act like it. i also like to wear the headphones because if someone were to call after me, it would be reasonable that i kept going because i didn’t hear them. the most important thing is that you believe you are owed whatever is in your cart and that you have a right to be there. that is your shit that you bought and nobody has the right to take it from you! just be confident and casual.

for the mall/smaller stores:

i literally just grab what i want, browse around, and when employees are occupied (don’t stare at them!) i casually walk out with my things. once again, i cannot stress the importance of being confident more!!! but also be diligent. mall stores are more likely to tag items. it would put a huge twist in your plan to have the towers go off while you’re holding merchandise. if there are t4gś, you’re obviously going to need to remove them. also, please don’t try this at some high end store with some expensive sneakers, 4 polos, 2 puffer jackets, and 3 watches. that’s extremely obvious and reckless and you’re going to get caught 9/10. use your brain to determine risk and if it’s worth it or not!
