El miedo a algo desconocido, es una programación que te meten desde que eres chico ya que ellos te dicen una situación (en este caso desagradable) que les pasó y te meten esa inseguridad de que te vaya a pasar lo mismo.

El verdadero amor es cuando no sientes como una pertenecía tuya a la otra persona y no dejas que el apego se apodere de ti, piénsalo de esta manera y verás como tú amor hacia una persona será infinito y recíproco.
