Taking Mask Off

Looking back to the could have beens’ and should have beens’ of my past.

Recollecting all what ifs’ and what not.

Weighing the yes’ and nos’ i said and i got.

There is a heavy feeling in my heart.

I bear something dark in my mind.

An old passion I buried deep within me.

A dream I never let the world to see.

Go on have a life for you will only live once.

A choice I never had.

This is a luxury I cant wear and my shoulders cant carry.

For I am on the ground and these words are high above the sky.

No matter how far I reached, I kept falling down and down.

Family and Friends sure I have.

I cared for them and whom I loved.

My better half is always there and never left my side.

But I still feel empty and broken deep inside.

Listen. Someone hear and listen please I ask.

I am drowning and losing my grip to last.

I am a wandering soul, my path’s nowhere to find.

You said you’ll always understand.

You promised you’ll never leave my side.

You committed you’ll put me first and prioritized.

But there you go! You left and nowhere to find.

You got tired.

Listening and advising me.

I carry burden and stress surround thee.

Embracing and caressing were absent often times.

Feeling haunted and nightmares kissed me goodnight.

I am alone and unprepared with your changed of heart.

You left.

Where is the forever you said you will stay.

What can I do? I cried and laugh and gave up.
