this is her old design!

she looked like a pirate, and i wasn't going for that kind of vibe .. plus the colors are boring and the design is a bit all over the place ^_^;

here's her new design!

it's not the best but i'd say its a step up from the first ^_^ !! Shes like a festival performer now hehe and i like that!! (might make her be friends with gaming...)

though in contemplating which element is best for her... pyro matches with her aesthetic but anemo has a nice pop of color (and probably makes more sense...given the cloud elements in her design)... though i gotta know what yall think

I have a little tutorial posted recently on my page!! But to put it simply, play around with the colors, shift to a different hue when youre rendering, as it makes the piece more interesting! (Ex. your base color is green so you shade with a darker blue)

To be honest, ive got zero clue of what im doing too lol!! My only basis is that if it looks good, it looks good 😭 but if you want to go more into depth on how to pick colors, shade, or just color theory in general, watching tutorials on yt might be the best thing to do!! :-)

I will try to explain this in the simplest & best way that i can hehe

Lets take Cici for example:

Here are her base colors! Let's do a quick comparison of two different ways to shade.

1.

This is when you pick colors that are a few shades darker than the original color. It looks very plain, and there's not much to look at!

Here's the trick: use your color wheel!!! ^_^

2.

This is how i normally shade! See how it looks much more vibrant compared to the other?

You simply (i will try to explain it the best that I can 😭) shift to a different hue! (Ex. Your base color is green, so you shade with blue ) and also, its ok to use more than one color, the more the merrier!!

I also suggest you look into/ study color theory :-D

In short, don't be afraid to play around with the colors, as it makes the piece look more interesting :-D
