Dear Tumblr Friends,
I’m begging you—please, do not scroll past this post. Mohammed, his family, and his young niece are in a desperate situation, and they need our help urgently.
The airstrike that shattered their lives has claimed the lives of everyone in his niece's family—leaving her completely alone. They have lost everything: their loved ones, their home, and their sense of security. 😢💔
Now, they are living in a tent, struggling daily with no fresh water and barely any food. To make matters worse, Mohammed’s brother is still missing. Their situation is critical and time is running out. 🚨
Mohammed is trying to escape to safety in Egypt, but the cost is staggering: $5,000 per person. Without these funds, their chance to flee their nightmare is slipping away. 😔💔
Here’s how you can make a REAL difference:
Donate: Every dollar counts. Your contribution can help cover the crossing fees and offer Mohammed and his family a glimmer of hope for a safer future. 🌟💪
Share: Spread their story. The more people who hear this, the closer we get to our goal. Your voice matters! 📢💬
Offer Support: If you have any resources, connections, or ideas to help, don’t hesitate to reach out. Every bit of assistance can change their lives. 🤝💖
Please, don't let this opportunity to help slip away. Their lives depend on our collective action. Your support can mean everything to them in this critical time.

Here's our story - Since the morning of October 7th, our lives have never been the same. Everything in our lives has been disrupted. On the first night since the war began, our house was partially destroyed by a very close Israeli strike. Despite the damage, we stayed in the house for two more days until suddenly and without preparation, we were told to evacuate our homes and we would be in danger. From this moment our endless journey of suffering and pain began. Throughout this journey, we later learned that our three-storey house, where my family and my uncle’s family lived, was completely destroyed as a result of the bombing.🍉🙏
Despite all this, my father-in-law suffered a broken back. His heart could not bear all this pain. Due to the scarcity of medicine and the lack of medical resources in hospitals, his condition worsened even more and he was unable to walk.
Suddenly my brother was martyred, and parting from him was very difficult for me, and the situation was even more difficult for my children. My eldest daughter, Joan, kept crying and wanting to go to her uncle, and they could not believe that he had gone and would never return.
Our future has become unknown, and our present is unbearable and unlivable by human standards. We are stuck in a harsh reality every moment. We live in a constant state of explosions, bullets raining down on us, artillery shells, and warplanes that bombard us with devastating missiles every day. In addition to our continuing suffering to this day: the lack of resources, humanitarian aid, medicine, and food. We barely find food for my children, as they eat one meal during the day and spend the rest of the day crying.
Here are my kids enjoying life before October 7th.
This is the cry of a mother and father. We hope that our children will be given the opportunity to live in peace and security and have access to food and a safe life like the rest of the children of the world everywhere.
Maybe this fundraising effort is like a beacon in the darkness, our sole source of hope that we hold onto tightly. I urge the world to listen to my plea and the sorrowful cries of my Gaza kin. We desperately require the helping hand that can dry our tears and lead us to safety.
Your contribution is more than just money; it's a chance to reconstruct life and illuminate a brighter future. Join us in shaping a tale of hope, as we rely on your support to begin afresh.
The purpose of the fundraising campaign..
https://gofund.me/2adde3d1
The objective of this fundraising drive is to secure the passage of my family, through the Rafah Crossing to Egypt. Presently, this journey necessitates £5000 per person. This campaign stands as our sole opportunity for survival, and I earnestly implore your aid during this pivotal juncture. Rest assured, I will furnish you with a detailed breakdown of the expenses, vowing transparency, and lucidity throughout.
a big lesson for me was learning that most things are not as fragile as I’d believed. missing a class, or turning in a bad assignment, won’t instantly destroy your professor’s opinion of you. accidentally saying something harsh won’t make your friend want to end the friendship. it takes work to repair these things - it takes effort and research and sometimes a sincere apology - but you can do that because they’re not irreparably broken. what you’ve worked to build, in academia and in relationships and in life, is stronger and more enduring that your mind may teach you to believe. don’t let imagined fragility lead you to giving up

According to the Palestinian Prisoner’s Club, the occupation released the prisoner Moaziz Abayat after several months of detention, where he was subjected to a systematic assassination attempt during his time in “Ofer” Prison.
He faced systematic and brutal assaults that included the breaking of all his limbs, visible in circulating videos, and he was left without treatment until his liberation.
It is worth noting that Moaziz is the nephew of martyr Hussein Abayat, who was martyred 24 years ago in 2000 during the Second Intifada. His uncle was one of the early founder’s of Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades in the southern West Bank and became one of the occupation’s most wanted resistance fighters due to his executing of several significant resistance operations which killed and wounded many zionist soldiers.
After receiving treatment for the first time since his abduction, the barbaric torture Moaziz endured and witnessed at the hands of zionist soldiers has become even clearer in a video where he is heard saying,
“They killed me…put me in a bag, in a black bag. I have been martyred…”

Before the war, I worked as a mobile programmer, and my wife was a schoolteacher. We had many aspirations and lived a simple yet happy life, dreaming of a bright future for our children.
Hello,
I am Mohammad Taysir, 34 years old, a Palestinian living in Gaz… Mohammed Alanqar needs your support for Save My Family from the War
The war came and changed everything. Our home was destroyed, we lost our jobs, and we became homeless.
We tried to flee to safer areas in search of security. But safety in Gaza has become nearly impossible. Death and destruction are everywhere, and our children live in an endless nightmare. Opportunities for education and entertainment have vanished, and basic necessities are scarce. We are suffering from poverty and despair.
We are now searching for an opportunity to live in a safe place outside Gaza. However, this is very costly, and we are in desperate need of your support. We want to provide a dignified life and a better future for our children. We believe that humanity and compassion still exist, and that there are those who will respond to our desperate plea.
Every donation, no matter how small — $5 or $10, or 50$ will have a significant impact on our lives. Your contributions will help us cover the costs of travel and living in a safe country. We want to start a new life away from fear and destruction, giving our children a chance to dream and hope again.

Please help my family by donating or reblog my campaign is going very slowly 🙏🍉
I have tried so many ways to boost Mohammed Al-Habil's fundraiser, but nothing seems to be working. Even the one post that has gained 45K notes - and he is literally the first (1st) fundraiser on the list - is not doing him any favours. Otherwise, he would have reached his goal by now, right?
BUT HE ONLY MADE IT HALFWAY! ! !
So it looks like I have to set a specific goal to pick up the pace! Let's go for a short-term goal of 25K in the NEXT TWO (2) DAYS! As of writing this, €20,423 out of 25K has been raised.
WE ONLY HAVE €4,577 LEFT!
Let me tell you about Mohammed Al-Habil (@alhabil) again! He is 30 years old, and he is an incredible and devoted father to his three (3) young children, Ahmed, Lina, and Osama. He will do everything in his power to make sure they are healthy and safe!
He is also a caring husband to his wife, Aya, and a dutiful son to his elderly parents. Unfortunately, his parents are chronically ill. Their health is deteriorating every single day and they need medical care ASAP!
So please donate and share so that Mohammed can help his parents! THEY NEED TO EVACUATE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE! LET'S HELP HIM ACHIEVE HIS SHORT-TERM GOAL OF 25K!

I think I got too ambitious, but you know what - fuck it! I have seen miracles happen and I am sure something good will happen to his fundraiser. So please continue to donate and share!
The above screenshots are all notes from posts I made for Siraj or posts I made while thinking about Siraj's fundraiser.
None of it helped Siraj avoid a stagnant campaign. He gets short bursts of activity ( he is grateful for every dollar, trust me he expresses joy at every $5 dollar donation ) but, after that the campaign stagnates for days. So all that is happening is that I am getting activity. My notes have filled up, my phone does not stop pinging- but for Siraj it is the same as always with donations trickling in slowly.
Siraj does not have time. He cannot afford time. He is not evacuating, not because he is safe or has time, but because he refuses to be a refugee. Refuses for the occupation to throw him out of his city. Anything can happen to Siraj ( May God keep him safe, I hate to even think about this) , but anything can happen...who would rebuild his house then? Who would fulfill his promise to his children?
The time is now! Every second passes in Gaza in a terrible sort of limbo!!
Siraj doesn't know what will happen in the next day, when he has to travel 3 km to reach the Internet point. The occupation forces have attacked many on the way there. But Siraj still has to brave that road, hoping that somehow, someday he will have enough friends who are willing to donate. A journalist by profession, he offers you the truth in exchange of your support. So please help him. Please listen.

Dear Humanity,
I'm Haya from Gaza , from a family of 8 people: my… Ahmed Alshawish needs your support for Emergency: Help Evacuate My Fa
I've witnessed the evidence of the tragedy that has struck our lives in Gaza, where my family and I have survived amidst numerous previous wars. But today, we face the most dangerous and fierce battle in the current war. The urgent need intensifies for us, as we have nothing left and are unable to secure our basic needs such as food, water, and safe shelter.
Here is our story - On October 7th, our lives changed forever, my family and I evacuated from northern Gaza to southern Gaza, hoping to return soon, but it wasn't meant to be. Our home was surrounded, burned, and then completely destroyed, Our home, once a fortress of hope, now lay in ruins, a stark reminder of our shattered dreams.
The night before we left from the north to the south was terrifying. Shelling sounds were everywhere, making a loud noise that felt like it went through our souls. Every explosions shook the ground like earthquakes, sending shockwaves of fear through our trembling bodies. filling us with fear. The air smelled of destruction and blood, making it hard to breathe. When dawn came, we saw the devastation around us, realizing our home was now a symbol of loss and despair.
We ran into the streets and with each step we took into the unknown streets, we felt as if we were plunging deeper into the abyss of our shattered existence, leaving behind everything we own in our home: Clothes, important official documents, the car, and literally it's almost everything - the enormity of our loss weighed heavily upon us.
Our home it was where we found hope, safety, and made precious memories. Losing it felt like losing years of our lives, leaving us adrift amidst the wreckage of our shattered existence.
A brief video depicting the devastation that struck our home and our entire neighborhood in Gaza.
Desperate Plea: Escaping Gaza's Allergy Nightmare
I, Haya, suffer from severe allergy to penicillin-derived medications, and my sister, Amal, also suffers from severe allergies to medications from my family such as Paracetamol and Ibuprofen.
These allergies create a deep sense of fear and anxiety for us, as we live in a constant state of tension and fear of anything that may require a visit to the hospital. We fear being given inappropriate medications due to the unavailability of suitable treatments in Gaza because of war or lack of awareness and not informing the doctor of our allergies, which could lead to serious consequences threatening our lives.
MY Father Income
Our dreams are heading towards oblivion in the labyrinth of an uncertain future
My story, along with my siblings, represents a united team of four individuals, three of whom are skilled programmers and one graphic designer. We work as freelancers in the world of freelancing.
As for my younger sister, she is a student studying at the College of Architecture. She has always carried a big dream in her heart, a dream of being part of changing Gaza, of making it more beautiful and better. She looked forward to the day when she would receive her degree and start building this dream. But the beginning of the war changed everything. The destruction of infrastructure and universities cast shadows of despair over her dreams.
When I think of my brother in Belgium, I can't help but feel deep sadness. He has been suffering from unbearable anxiety and insomnia since the outbreak of the war. Sleep eludes him at night, and his physical and mental health collapses under the weight of these heavy burdens, negatively affecting his performance at work. Problems and challenges pile up in front of him without the slightest opportunity for rest.
We all feel psychological pressure and extreme anxiety. The war hasn't been limited to external attacks but has deeply infiltrated our daily lives. We search among the rubble for a little safety and the basic resources for survival. Every day comes with a new challenge that we must overcome.
As we sway amidst the rubble of shattered dreams, our souls wrestle and our hearts beat strongly challenging the ravages of war.
Our parents earnestly seek a way to rescue us from this hell, feeling the heavy responsibility for every moment we spend under the shadows of fear and destruction. They dream of a safe place where they can build for us a better future, filled with security and hope, for we deserve life in all its meanings of comfort and peace.
Perhaps this fundraising campaign represents a light in the midst of darkness, it is indeed the only hope we cling to firmly.
I appeal to the world as a whole to hear my cry and the mournful cry of my family in Gaza. We need the helping hand that reaches out to wipe our tears and build a bridge to safety.
Your donation is not just a donation; it's an opportunity to rebuild life and brighten a better tomorrow. Be part of our hopeful story, for we need your hand to start anew.
The purpose of the fundraising campaign
The goal of this fundraising campaign is to rescue my family - my parents, my siblings, and me - through the Rafah Crossing to Egypt, which currently requires $5000 per person. This campaign is our only chance to stay alive, and I humbly request your assistance at this critical time. I will provide you with a comprehensive breakdown of the expenses, committing to transparency and clarity.

After Bilal @bilal-salah0 reached his goal on August 1st, he contacted me to let me know that, because the Rafah crossing is still bombed and closed, he can't actually use the funds to evacuate his family right away. The funds have since been redirected toward the skyrocketing cost of living in Gaza.
His family now has to raise another €30,000 as soon as possible to sustain themselves before the Rafah crossing opens, which could be as soon as next week for all we know.
My post celebrating Bilal getting close to his original GFM goal has over 7,000 notes, yet Bilal is only bringing in €20 every hour or so, which is a sharp decline from his previous momentum.
Bilal is still struggling with his own housing insecurity in Germany and the looming threat of deportation. Despite this horror, he's put the work in to vet a handful of fundraisers, promote fundraisers, and call out scams for us. He is simply too busy to campaign for his family on his own.
I encourage everyone to donate to Bilal's family and share his campaign with people you know on other social media platforms. You can repost any of the art people have made for him and share the pictures on his gofundme.
Bilal is a valuable member of our community! Please don't let him fall through the cracks!
