Obviously Liz gets a bunch of subversions of classic companion things (this, “Doctor What”, etc) because she’s my specialest girl ever but I also like to think of it as a subtle indicator that she isn’t really right for this. She’s very close to perfect companion material, but is just off enough that it all goes wrong.

Thinking about regenerations and you know what, just once I’d like for a New Who regeneration to have the Doctor laying on the ground dying like in Classic Who instead of standing up and ready for these beams to shoot out. We got so close with The Doctor Falls and then Twice Upon a Time got forced in there. I would like to get some variation away from the constant golden beams as well but I know that’s too much to ask for so can I please at least just get ONE regeneration where the Doctor isn’t standing around waxing philosophical before exploding. I want that Time Lord on the GROUND. Generally speaking if you’re mortally injured and dying you’re gonna be on the ground.

Looney toons gag where the doctor has liz in cuffs for whatever reason and she’s being real difficult about it & making other people do stuff for her. And then slips effortlessly out/back into them as soon as the situation calls for it

the master needs more companions. i just think the idea of the master having a Fucked Up And Evil plucky young woman or whatever hanging around is fun
