Late Night Poem (8.13.26) L.V.
don’t look up at me like so
your eyes, your hair
I melt like snow
I see my hand
moving slow
to touch your hair
my heart in tow
I watch you as you walk on by
your laugh, your smile
I’ve gone awry
that rainy day
when you were drenched
I saw it then
my thirst was quenched
I dream of all we have in common
but when we speak
my self has fallen
I wish that you could read my soul
for mine and yours
would merge, behold
