“Yeah, no. I’m okay over here.” Trevor notes sitting down on a stool. “You haven’t called. Matter of fact you didn’t call, text, or even snapchat. So fuck you.” 

She sighed heavily before rolling her eyes and standing in front of him as she crossed her arms. “I’m sorry, alright? I was busy during the break.”

“Depends on who you are. Are you willing to share some though?”

“Everyone is harmful to someone to someone just not to everyone. That’s a wise thing to remember.”

“Touche. Unless you’re the type who’s completely kind-hearted and gentle, then they probably wouldn’t harm someone. The same goes for you, Eli.”

“Hey, I need your honest opinion on something. I probably should have asked before I bought the tickets but do you think Allegiant is going to be any good? I read the first two books but I didn’t have time to read Allegiant. I heard from a lot of people that it’s not following the book at all.”

“Uhhh... Sure? I actually haven’t read the books, so I don’t know what else to tell you, but I do want to see it because I’ve already seen Divergent and Insurgent and I like it so far. I also want to see it for the cast members. When do movies ever follow the book? Honestly, I like that they don’t. It’s different.”

“Very true. Alcohol makes any night fun, and I already plan on getting extremely drunk at my party since I didn’t on my actual birthday.”

“Sorry to hear that, Noelle. When is your birthday anyway? Just for future reference, so every time it’s your wonderful day, I’ll bring drinks.”

“You are too cute. I feel like it’s been forever since we last hung out. I mean really. We used to go to Walmart together all the time.”

“When am I not? Back to what we were talking about though, I definitely agree and I miss us doing stuff, Or. If we go to Walmart, can we just start messing with people?”

“Oh, okay then, so I assume you don’t want this extra cup of coffee I bought originally for you? Because I know a few people who could also use a wake up drink.”

      “What are you doing in my room? It might smell like a brothel but it’s definitely not one, contrary to popular belief.”

“I didn’t say it smelled like one and I wasn’t thinking it either. I just wanted to ask if you’d like to hang out. Or is that a problem for you?”

“Hey, hey! Put that glass on a coaster, they’re there for a reason. Seriously I’m trying not to get rings on my coffee table. A lot of thought was put into decorating this house and I don’t need things to get messed up straight out the gate.”

“Oops. My bad, Stassi,” she replied before picking up her cup then taking a sip of it. A moment later, she was glancing around the place then nodded. “I like what you did, if it makes you feel any better.”

“They want you to think they’re adorable and harmlesss, that’s their endgame, but they definitely are not.”

“So you’re saying deep down, you’re definitely not harmless? I already know I’m not harmless all the time, so I do see your point.”

“I’m about 99% sure I just failed one of my tests because I fell asleep while studying in the library. How does one recover from something like that?”

“By parting and saying fuck it?”

“Just a few seconds. Why? Were you doing something important?”

“Not gonna lie, if I were ever President, the first thing I’d do is ask about the aliens. It’d be for the good of society to know, honestly.”

“Aw, man. I was hoping you were going to talk about food. That’s probably just my thinking though.”
