First post back on tumblr since the last venom came out let’s go

Was Venom 2 good?  Not as good as the first, but I liked:

Venom & Eddie having more of a relationship, an understanding of each other and a deep appreciation of the bond they have that I wanted to see more of in the first movie

They brought Michelle Williams back to give him that human love interest aspect, but we all know the real love story was Venom & Eddie

But at the same time Venom’s investment in getting Eddie and Annie back together

Also Carnage as a villain was...intense!  Like how did they get away with a PG 13 rating Carnage was kind of disturbing and Woody Harrelson really sold this too like what great casting but he killed like 200 people!!

My cons of the movie are pretty straightforward like I didn’t go into this expecting an oscar worthy performance from anyone other than Tom hardy but they never really explain who Carnage is or why Shriek has powers, the pacing is off and the Ravencroft side plot was wasted

I won’t lie tho at the end when Venom said in passing that he loves Eddie I was like

So yes the first movie was better on the grounds that let there be carnage had pacing issues and didn’t explain things as much and was kinda silly but it was dumb fun and if you go into this expecting that or want Symbrock vibes you will have a good time
