This was my first time working with a model for Life Drawing!

My life drawing midterm!! Halfway through the semester and I already feel like I’ve learned so much!! Right is a self-portrait, left is a copy of a sketch of a skull

This was one of my first drawings with my new digital tablet! These are my best friends, and I did little cartoony illustrations of them.

This was my first big canvas project from Intro to Painting! I have no idea how to paint rough gems, so I just laid my canvas down and swirled a bunch of paint and gloss varnish together until it looked how I wanted.

These were some of my different field sketches during my freshman year. I think I really developed my skills during this time, and I had such a great time on my hikes.

Homework from Intro to Watercolor. We had to do a “narrative” self-portrait, a close-up self portrait (focusing on the planes and shapes of our face), and a painting of an object in water. I’m really happy with how these turned out.

My final project from my field study course! I created botanical illustrations of different flowers in the chaparral region.

This is definitely my biggest digital project to date! It’s the design for the mural I’m going to paint at my school’s own vegetable garden! I sketched it out on digital first to understand how I wanted it to look. I’m going to make the foreground less detailed so the vegetables will really stand out.

This is Sonny! She was a character from a campaign we never ended up playing, but she’s really cute and was fun to draw!

My Intro to Drawing midterm. We all had to copy a sketch of a bust of one of the Roman emperors? I’m not totally sure, but I think it turned out really well.

This was the little painting I gave to my boyfriend for his birthday. He loves Legend of Zelda (but I’ve never played it!), so I made him a card based on Breath of the Wild.

My second canvas from Intro to Painting! We had to take a small section of one of our favorite paintings and make a detailed piece out of it. I chose “Venus Verticordia” by Dante Gabriel Rossetti

My Intro to Watercolor final! We had to paint a portrait of someone, so I painted my friend Sandy in her baile folklorico dress.

A marker drawing! This is my Dungeons and Dragons party (I play the green rogue in the back!) It was the birthday card for my friend Sarah’s birthday (she plays the bard in the middle) (Our DM is hiding in the trees in the background)

Another attempt with charcoal! (Before I even started any of my drawing classes). I made this for the anniversary of Carrie Fisher’s passing.
